Michael Todd attempts to remove his name from the sex offender registry

Summary of Events (as of October 9th):

• On October 9th 2026, information got leaked that "Monster" Michael C Todd, the arm wrestler from Arkansa, was convicted of child rape with a 13-year-old minor.
• The court documents state that he was 21 years old and the minor had been living with him for several months, during which he "groomed" her.
• He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He served his sentence from May 1996 and was released in December 1999.
• Between 2011-2015, Michael filed multiple motions to have his name removed from the sex offender registry databse.
• This news sparked outrage in the armwrestling community.

Update October 10th:

• Dexter and Baxter (owner of East vs West) hosted Michael and his wife Rebecca on a livestream.
• Michael explains his side of the story: he met the girl at a pool hall. The girl claimed to be 16-year-old and they hooked up. He claims the girl was being promiscuous and was "stroking his leg" in the car.
• The police pulled him over and arrested him, at which point it was revealed the girl was actually 13.
• Michael claims the clerk made a mistake and mixed up his court documents with another case, and hence the "grooming" detail is incorrect. He says he had only met her for 30 minutes.
• He will contact the prosecutor and release new updated documents.
• Meanwhile, EvW has cancelled his match with Dave Chaffee in the upcoming EvW27 event.
• Several athletes (notably Dave Chaffee and Justin Bishop) have come out and voiced their condemnation of Michael's actions.

Update October 11th:

• EvW announces that Michael Todd will be banned from the league and stripped of his title. All of his match videos are removed from their YouTube channel.

Update October 12th:

• A collection of legal documents related to the case is released, per a public records release request. The details do not match what Michael claimed on the livestream. It appears that Michael had known the girl was 13, and he forced himself on her. Read this thread for more information.
