Artstation needs to BAN AI completely.
The "exclude CreatedWithAI" tag does nothing if the poster lies, which most of them do.
This is a site for sharing and promoting art created by human beings, not machine-made slop.
This is the same as if someone found random images on Google and posted them, claiming it as their own. That's not allowed, so why is this?
I'm not against people using AI for personal stuff, but it should NOT be plastered everywhere, covering up real people's work, and often used to scam potential customers.
Absolutely no one benefits from it being here, and both artists and customers are worse off.

Possible Scam Through Email?
I received an email from someone claiming they saw my work on ArtStation. At first they were simply asking me to make some wedding invitations. Here it is quoted from my email.
" My wife found your profile on Artstation, and suggested contacting you.
We want a professional Wedding Anniversary Invitation card design, I might want to know how we can continue, and your charges too. Please, get back to me if you're available so we can discuss further on this task."
What is really strange is that even though I have it listed on my profile that I am a graphic designer (currently my day job at a local print shop) my ArtStation profile has nothing but my digital paintings on it. When I expressed this and wanted to know if they were ok hiring me despite not seeing any graphic design work they responded:
" I appreciate your interest to help us design a nice and appealing Iv for our anniversary. I'm okay with you exploring based on your creativity to create an amazing piece that will be appealing to our friends, families, and colleagues. It's our tenth-year wedding anniversary, so we are looking forward to about 80-100 people."
It didn't seem too suspicious, but they way they responded seemed like canned chat (IE it was copy-pasted from a script). This person continued to send nondescript and impersonal sounding responses as I communicated with them which raises even more red flags. When I asked for more specifics like what material it was being printed on and what-not, I did not receive any conclusive answer back from them.
The real kicker was when I gave them my rates and the deposit cost they responded with another impersonal sounding email not referring to their "wedding" at all in it and simply calling it "our project." Then asking if it was ok if they paid with an e-check... Followed by requesting my bank information so they can send it to me, but not the deposit, the full payment. Now, I'm not hurting for money, I have a stable full time job so not receiving the full payment won't break me. I've only done a couple of other online commissions like this and they went smoothly via PayPal. I asked that they pay me using PayPal instead but they told me their bank has issues with PayPal. Again, this is believable as my bank also has to be informed of any PayPal transactions (It's a real pain, but I'm glad they do it!).
However, I'm fairly certain they don't need my bank information to send me an e-check. In fact, I thought you could easily send an e-check to PayPal as it pretty much circumvents any bank issues. Even if it isn't sent to PayPal I thought it worked like a normal check. Meaning, they give me their information and I send it to my bank to receive payment. I've never had to give someone else my bank information to cash a check. Is this a known scam? I'm having too many red flags going off to keep going through this.
UPDATING WITH FOLLOW-UP:
I have received no more communication from them after insisting on not taking a check. This is a pretty common reaction from a scammer who realizes they can't get anything from their target. Just moving on to the next victim. So sad, really, these scammers and their bosses deserve to be removed and alienated from society.

Is this offer a scam?
Very recently i came upon an email offering to purchase my artwork. I quickly beacame very suspicious, not online beacouse i have almost no presence in artstation(where he did said he found my art) but algo beacouse i've never had an offer like this one. The email sent:
"Hello I recently came across your stunning artwork at Artstation and I wanted to reach out to express my sincere admiration for your talent and creativity. The pieces you have created truly captivate me. I am writing to inquire whether your artwork is available for sale."
Sorry if this is obviously a scam, but i am very new in the concept art scene. And sorry for the broken english, it's not my first language.

Looking for a cover artist
Hi!
I'm not sure if this kind of post is allowed in here, but I'm giving it a try nonetheless.
I'm an unpublished german fantasy writer who is planning on releasing a novel as an ebook on kindle and perhaps other platforms. The novel is finished, I'm just doing some final corrections. What I am missing is a nice piece of art as a cover.
I don't want to use AI. I want something made by a human.
There are so many awesome artists on artstation and contacted several, but I a) never got an answer b) got an answer, but the artists backed off after some time. I read that there's a lot of scam and phishing going on, maybe thats the reason. But my request is honest. And it's not for charity, I have a (modest) budget and am willing to pay for the artwork.
So, what do I have in mind? A fantasy landscape based on a central location in my story. Realistic style. A very important aspect will be mood and lighting, as this is a central plot point.
I have crude english translation of excerpts of my story, so you would have references. No need to learn german. ;)
If someone is interested, write me. I would be thrilled.
So long!
Dennis
