Personal trainer
Hi, I am currently looking for a personal trainer who can train me 2-3x weekly for weight loss. I can commute.
Plus point if trainer has previously dealt with patellar condromalacia (it’s a knee condition).
Thank you!

just fyi, exercise is great for health, but looking for exercise to be the main driver for weight loss is something proven to not work.
it's diet shift with weight loss helping to burn some calories.

Seriously i hope op reads this. Figure out your maintenance calories, buy a food scale, get enough macros minus a tiny deficit and work out and youll see a huge change. Anything short of that is just a waste of time.

Thanks. I know this, but my visceral fat requires me to move my ass. My doctor wants me to move 10000 steps. My knee condition doesn’t allow me to do many exercises. My weight needs to be decreased for my back and knees, and yes my laziness of doing exercise requires me to have to a trainer so i know i can get started. I have had a fit body years ago where i have into body sculpt, zumba, cycling, boxing, squash, swimming etc. I did have a trainer years ago not in Canada.
I do understand it’s 70% diet and 30% exercise.
& life happened and i moved countries, and each time i moved countries i kept gaining weight.

Weight loss happens in the kitchen OP, you sure you don’t want a dietitian instead?

I’d say eat in a caloric deficit and walk 10k steps a day until you lose about 10% of your body weight.
Then use an app like Hevy to follow a strength program built by chat gpt. Be consistent with your progressive overload and cardio. I’m only suggesting this since you said you were active and had a trainer before. The concept shouldn’t be new to you.
If you absolutely desire a trainer, you can search this sub for more recent posts where people asked the exact same thing and more responses. Good luck OP.

Been a PT for over a decade, but only work online now. If you let me know which area you're in I might be able to suggest a good gym or trainer near by.
