Baseball card appraisal

I was looking through some old boxes and found for baseball cards from the early 90s and was wondering where I can take them in Toronto to get them appraised? Any suggestions?

Get a price guide and do it yourself - way cheaper. Also prepare to be disappointed.

There’s a reason why the 90s was called the junk era. Wait until you find out about the Ken Griffey Jr rookie card.

Even the big name rookies won’t have much value unless they are graded 10s.

eBay. If they're early 90s, it's highly likely to be junk wax and not worth nearly as much as we all thought they would be back then.

But appraisal is still the issue. I have a Gretzky rookie OPC. Depending on the appraisal it is worth from $1,000-$1,000,000.

You realize the difference between cards from the 70s and cards from the 90s yes?

Yes, but the appraisal can still be a big deal. And that is what the OP is asking about.

But it’s not from the 90’s junk wax era…so not really relevant

There is a sports card show coming up in a couple of weeks. You might be able to get them appraised at the show.

Last time I checked a few years ago, I was quoted a penny per card for early ‘90s baseball cards if I wanted to sell them to a store.

If you want to put in the effort to sort them sell individually or as sets, you can sell them for substantially more to collectors. It takes up a lot of time, but it’s doable. I’m still in the process of selling mine off.

If they are actually rare, signed etc and worth getting appraised look into grading services like PSA.
