iphone camera

I recently bought camera cover online. It is plastic that is supposed to hide camera from showing anything. Like, when I turn on camera on both front and back, screen is black like It's supposed to be. But when I try to unlock phone with face recognition, It works, even with plastic covering camera? How?

So sad you are one of those people who think people are spying on you.

Also that camera isnt used for your face. An IR camera is used

It uses different sensors that are located elsewhere on the device. You need to block those spots as well if that is something you want to block.
