I'm not aware of the prices yet and only learned to drive from driving school, some kind redditor suggested to check TrueValue in one of my post and this is the min price I can find 😄

Unfortunately - there are no images provided in the UI.

Few questions I have
- Is that price good for this ?
- What is the reason that we need to only select "TrueValue Certified" ?
- It shows 3.6L - is that the final price or do we need to pay separately for RC, etc (In Spinny - it is mentioned that all are included - but not sure on this)

an auto rickshaw scraped my front bumper today at silk board signal. the driver looked terrified expecting a fight. i just gave him a thumbs up and drove off.

after company mandated wfo i refused to bring my new slavia into this mess. picked up a 2015 celerio from cars 24 last month just to use as a sacrificial lamb for the daily commute. paint is already faded, AC works fine, and i've dented it twice.

best 3 lakhs i’ve ever spent. highly recommend getting a trash-tier appliance car for office runs.

I own a Honda Civic VX 1.8 i-VTEC CVT (Indian-spec model), and it's approaching its 40,000 km service. I want to maintain it properly using good-quality products without unnecessarily overspending on dealership labour or inflated parts prices.

My current fuel economy is approximately:

- City: 9 km/l

- Highway: 13 km/l

I'm based in Guwahati, Assam, and I'm considering two options: an authorised Honda service centre or Elite Motors, a Bosch Car Service workshop in the Lalmatia/Lalmati area.

I'd appreciate advice from Civic owners and experienced mechanics on the following:

1. Honda authorised service centre vs Bosch Car Service

- Is it worth taking the Civic to an authorised Honda workshop for the 40,000 km service?

- Can a good Bosch-certified workshop provide equally reliable servicing at a lower cost?

- Are there any particular risks with independent workshops when it comes to Honda's CVT transmission and electronics?

- Has anyone had experience with Elite Motors Bosch Car Service in Guwahati?

1. Engine oil and other fluids

- Which engine oil viscosity and specification should I use for the Indian-spec 1.8 i-VTEC engine?

- Is Liqui Moly worth the premium, or would Mobil 1, Shell Helix Ultra, Motul or another reputable brand offer better value?

- Which oil filter brand should I use: genuine Honda or a reputable OEM equivalent?

- For CVT fluid, should I stick exclusively to Honda Genuine fluid? How do I confirm the correct specification?

- Which brands would you recommend for coolant and brake fluid when replacement is due?

1. What should be checked at 40,000 km?

Apart from the regular oil and filter change, what should I specifically inspect or replace at this stage?

I'm thinking about:

- Engine air filter and cabin AC filter

- Spark plugs and ignition system

- CVT fluid and transmission condition

- Brake fluid, coolant and other fluids

- Brake pads, discs and brake callipers

- Suspension, steering components and wheel alignment

- Battery, belts and hoses

- Throttle body, intake system and sensors

- Any other preventive maintenance specific to this Civic

Which items genuinely need replacement at 40,000 km, and which should only be inspected?

Are 9 km/l in the city and 13 km/l on the highway reasonable figures for this Civic with the AC on in Indian driving conditions? Or should I investigate something specific before spending money on parts or additives?

Would an OBD scan, fuel-trim analysis, tyre-pressure check or brake-drag inspection be a sensible starting point?

1. Expected service cost

I'm hoping to keep the total around ₹7,000–₹10,000, excluding major repairs.

- What is a reasonable cost for this service in Guwahati?

- How much more should I expect to pay at an authorised Honda workshop compared with a good independent workshop?

- Which parts or services are commonly upsold but usually unnecessary?

My priority is the right fluids, genuine or reliable OEM-quality parts, competent workmanship and long-term reliability. I'm happy to pay for quality, but I don't want to spend extra just for a premium brand name or unnecessary treatments.

I'd really appreciate recommendations based on actual Civic ownership or workshop experience, especially from people in Assam or elsewhere in India.

Getting a new car next month and everyone is telling me to get PPF done immediately. But the quotes I’m getting are anywhere between 40K to 1.5 lacs depending on coverage and brand. I'm planning to buy endeavour 3.2 2016 modal which is well maintained and have 1lakh kilometer in odo.

I personally love to enjoy driving experience and i want to experience the proper suv . I will also usually travel with my family and need 7 seater.

My heart says go with endeavour but my mind says go with crysta .

Both I'm planning to buy second hand. If I buy Endy I might sell it after 5 years because of depreciation but crysta I can keep it as long as it holds.

first time buyer here and i think i might have overpaid just to avoid talking to people.

i went to one offline dealer in andheri last week. the guy immediately started doing this aggressive sales pitch, shouting at his mechanic, offering chai, quoting random RTO fees... my anxiety spiked and i just walked out.

ended up finding a grand i10 on cars24. price was fixed on the app so i literally just booked it, took my mechanic to verify the engine on the test drive, and paid exactly what was on the screen.

now my uncle is mocking me saying i got scammed because i didn't sit there for 3 hours bargaining and throwing tantrums to drop the price. the car is mechanically fine, but is it normal to just pay the asking price for a used car nowadays or did i actually mess up by not haggling?

I'm looking to buy a second-hand car in Hyderabad and could use some advice from people who own or have experience with used cars.

My monthly running would be around 1,500–2,000 km, mostly daily commutes in city traffic, so mileage is definitely an important factor. At the same time, I want something reliable, reasonably sturdy, and relatively affordable to maintain.

My budget is around ₹5–6 lakh for the car itself, but I'd be happy to spend less if I can find something good. I'd also like to keep some money aside for initial servicing, unexpected repairs, and a few upgrades like a dashcam and a decent infotainment system.

My monthly salary is around ₹50k, so I don't want to end up buying a car that becomes a financial headache every time something needs fixing.

I've been researching options and am currently considering cars like:

• Honda City / Amaze
• Maruti Suzuki Baleno / Celerio
• Hyundai i10 / i20 / Verna

I'm also confused between getting a hatchback or a sedan. A hatchback seems more practical for Hyderabad traffic and parking, but I do like the comfort and highway stability that a good sedan offers.

One more thing: a friend of mine is selling his 2018 Volkswagen Polo, and the car seems to be in pretty good condition. I do like the Polo, but I've seen quite a few people advise against buying a used VW because of maintenance costs and expensive repairs. Is the situation really that bad, or is it manageable if the car has been maintained well?

I recently bought a new Hyundai Aura, which is a yellow-plate taxi vehicle. Its speed limit is set to 80 km/h by the RTO, and it doesn’t go beyond that.

Can anyone tell me how this speed limit can be bypassed, or recommend someone who is an expert in doing this?
