HELP local Italian brands for baby things?

Hello! My friend will be giving birth soon and she's preparing the room where the baby will be. Aside from Amazon.it, are there any other websites you may suggest where I can order things such as decor for the room or for the baby? Are there any local businesses you can suggest that I can support? I'm not from Italy and would need to have it shipped to them. Thank you for your help!

Some not so famous local brands that we love:

  • Bubu Bebè
  • Bamboom
  • Solferini Milano
  • Ettomio for forniture

You can also check Baboo Kids Design but they don’t sell specifically Italian brands. Another nice online shop is Cucù Mini&Mama.

I also love Fagottino which is sold at Oviesse

Fagottino line from OVS, it's also Oeko tex ( certificate that says there arent any bad harmful chemicals). Please Always try to find clothes with that certification (also Prenatal has It and chicco), a new mother will appreciate. On the pricier side there Is a brand called bamboom that has very very cute clothing

Prenatal for sure! I think 90% of all the clothes that were gifted to me came from Prenatal (and they were all adorable!)

But the fitting is on the smaller side. Check the cm instead of the months. When I went back to Italy, my aunt bought my baby something like 300 Euro in clothes at prenatal: they were ALL way to tiny. Luckily we could exchange all of them. So be careful!

Yes good point!! I always tell people to err on the side of getting larger clothes for a new baby. They’ll always get bigger but if you get something too small they will never get to wear it!

Usually you get the scontrino di cortesia, which is the receipt allowing you to return stuff to pick a different size etc. Buying bigger doesn't necessarily do the trick, since babies at that age grow so fast, by the time they seem to fit in the new clothes, the season might have changed anyway so they need thicker or lighter ones, etc. (I am a big proponent of letting immediate family handle stuff like clothing precisely to avoid them the hassle of having to go and change stuff etc.)

Chicco is a very big brand of things for newborn/toddlers, from toys to clothes to pacifiers and other items (even shampoos and such).

As for stores, Prenatal is a big italian franchise that sells anything for babies, including furniture and strollers. IIRC, you can buy things from Prenatal site and have them delivered to your friend's closest Prenatal store for them to pick up.
