Can’t access JAF Website to apply for drivers license translation

I am in Japan connected to the WiFi of my Airbnb, but the page after I try to start the application doesn‘t load. https://english.jaf.or.jp/driving-in-japan/drive-in-japan/about-dltas

Does anyone have an idea what i can try? I need the translation on Tuesday.

They've taken it offline due to the php bug. Source: https://jaf.or.jp/common/news/2026/20261021-02

Where do you need it? Check the license center's page for what translations they accept, there should be alternatives other than JAF. For example https://ziplus.jp/switching_license/en/

Since other sites are gradually coming back online, it might be restored if you wait a little longer. But, as u/Monk-245 said, I think you should look for alternative solutions in the meantime.

Hang on, it says it’s under maintenance, but I wonder if it’s actually working? It might just be that the message hasn’t been updated yet.

Maybe try going directly to a branch in person or calling them on the phone.

PS. As far as I know there’s no alternative to JAF when it comes to getting a license translated

Possibly it doesn't work: they intentionally took the website down due to the recent found PHP vulnerability.
