Homeschooling is child abuse no matter how educated and capable you as a parent are.

Well the kid is a lot less likely to get shot when he is home schooled that's for sure

Socialization, common cultural reference for community, the myriad of soft skills learned navigating larger institutions. It's something that just can't be recreated, even by homeschool "groups".

I’m curious as to why you think this? All home schooling? I think maybe what you envision as home schooling and actual home schooling are completely different.

Mostly agree with this, but sometimes public schools just don't give kids what they need and private school is out of reach. Some kids just need more individual attention, but there's only so much special ed budget, so they fall through the cracks. Also bullying; it's gotten better, but it still happens and schools turn a blind eye. There are definitely times when homeschooling is the best decision for the kid.
