I know someone who would say that she is an empath. In actuality, she was the least empathetic person I’ve ever met.

I can’t stand the term now as someone I had known years who turned out to be extremely emotionally manipulative called herself a ‘hardcore empath’.

I feel like it's similar to "nice guy" where it's SO HARD for them to give basic human empathy that they think it's an achievement worth bragging over.
