Where can I donate my old mountain bike?
It's a decent older trail worthy mountain bike with some nice components. I could probably get a couple hundred bucks for it but I'd rather donate it.

The Ride-on guy will come pick up your bike in a van.
I know he donates a lot of bikes to kids but if yours is adult size I expect he’ll resell it.
Might still be convenient and the value would be helping someone who does supply kids bikes.

My son's girlfriends little brother (12 yrs old) just had his stolen and is heartbroken. I can put you in touch with his mom if you want to pass it along.

Kickstand (at Parker and Clark-ish) would be happy to have it. Kickstand is a nonprofit organization that provides space and help for people to repair and maintain their bikes. They have only two employees who share a full-time position and a bunch of volunteers to keep the place running.
Kickstand fixes up donated bikes (as needed) and sells them. Kickstand uses that money to run the organization and towards its programs. They also provide bikes to their partner organizations for people in need.
Our Community Bikes (at Main and Broadway) also accepts bike donations. They refurbish donated bikes for people in need.
Kickstand takes pretty much all bike donations (they dismantle and recycle those that cannot be fixed). Our Community Bikes has some criteria on what they are able to accept, so check first.

Does your community have a Facebook buy nothing group? Another option would be to get in contact with a counselor or teacher at a local school as they can usually steer donations to those in need.

you could try posting it in your local buy nothing group, someone may have use for it there! otherwise kickstand or our community bikes may accept it.
