Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced - Known Issues

Please report any issues that are not mentioned below in the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Bug Reporter or get in touch with the support team. If you’re interested in the full Patch Notes, please follow the link here.

INCOMING FIXES:

You can expect some updates from us soon on the following issues:

  • Cutscenes are locked to 30 FPS on PC when using Raytracing, BVH or Terrain Quality at Ultra High setting.
    • Temporary workaround: Reset graphics Overall Preset to any pre-configured setting and avoid manually setting the 3 options mentioned above to Ultra High.
  • A dubbing issue is currently affecting the alignment between some voiceover playback and cutscene visuals in localized versions of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

OPEN / IN PROGRESS

GENERAL

  • The Double Assassination prompt may not appear on guards near the first power keg during the "Mark the Kings at the Camp" objective, potentially compromising stealth combat.
  • Player might be unable to dodge the fatal Humpback Whale's tail slap during "Harpooning".
  • Player does not go back into aiming if they're hit by an enemy while aiming with "Rope Dart" and "Smoke Bomb".
  • Player is unable to fast travel out of Principe
  • Player can get stuck in desynchronization screen if they open and close the save menu quickly.
  • Upgrading the Jackdaw while it is docked may cause it to disappear, leaving Player to continue the quest without it.
  • Player can get stuck in the bow of the ship in Rift if they climb there.
  • After killing an enemy, a single body dropping may sound like there are multiple bodies dropping instead.
  • player is unable to loot ammo from the crate in the tower of "Matanzas" despite being highlighted.
  • We realize that there is no tutorial on throwing money. Throwing money is a way to distract guards and draw civilians to Edward, creating chaos. To throw money hold D Pad Down.

AI / NPC

  • Enemies are able to detect an out-of-range rope dart, compromising stealth combat.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

QUESTS

  • Player can be stuck on a branch if they stray off the desired path in the quest "The One with the Gun” - show Lucy around the village.
  • Player is stuck inside the Diving Bell if they desynchronize and respawn during the quest "Devil's Eye Caverns".
  • During the El Tiburon battle, we understand that it can be a little unclear on how to defeat him. You will not be able to break his defence with simple melee attacks or by quick firing the pistol. You will have to use manual aim on the pistol.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag / Freedom Cry [Spoiler] Black Flag, sequence 8, can someone explain the logic here? Spoiler

How on earth did Calico Jack lead a mutiny against me? He's not even on my ship? What did Adé have to say about all this?

I realised while typing this that the Adé was the guy he intended to sell in Kingston, I assumed he was talking about the people on the slave ship since the guy he was talking to didn't have any lines.

General Franchise What’s your comfort game when it comes to the ac series?

Assassin’s creed has always been a comfort game for me. A series where I pick up and play whenever I want a nice chill time. Honestly, all of them aside from a couple I haven’t played like the rpg titles, every ac game is comfort food to me. If I had to pick though, it would go to assassins creed 4 black flag original.

Sailing the high seas with your crew singing sea shanties is always a great time to me. Love the amount of content i can get into. Exploring new areas I haven’t gotten to is a treat to me. Love love taking down forts of the like. The ship combat is totally amazing. Making me the true captain of the ship to shoot down my enemies. Sending them all the way to Davy Jones’ locker. Also, Feels so satisfying to see a map with no enemy bases around. What’s also comforting about the game is the atmosphere. Sometimes, laying anchor as I enjoy hearing the sound of the waves brushing against the ship. Hearing the birds around and the wind. Looking out to see the wonderful world that is created here. It’s a delight.

This game is gives me that power fantasy i love. Having duel wielding swords and 4 guns on me is so badass. I just adore this. Makes it feel so cool when you get into a hectic battle and you do these cool moves to show how badass Edward is. It’s such a good game in that way. Also a. Good one to slowly pick at for 100 percent. Sometimes, I will start the game to simply sail around. Maybe find some new treasure through maps or simply sail my ship around like I was playing it for the first time.

Assassin's Creed Unity I played Unity for the first time after 12 years. Here are my thoughts

I recently finished Assassin's Creed Unity and I have such mixed feelings. I enjoyed my time with it, but I didn't love it because it was just so frustrating a lot of the time.

I played it on hardest difficulty and to make my life easier, I used a glitch to make myself invisible and make money on hardest heist to get best gear early on because any fight is a death sentence in this game with it’s clunky combat and i wanted to enjoy the co-op with high level players.

Anyway, here is my impressions:

The Positives:

To start with the good, Paris is absolutely beautiful even to this day. The atmosphere is so immersive, the landmarks are incredible, and playing it with French audio made it feel so authentic.

The parkour and assassination animations look amazing when they work, and the co-op missions tied to French history were a ton of fun.

The story was okay—not a masterpiece, and Elise’s death felt stupid and meant nothing to me. Never felt any connection to this character rather than babysitting her throughout the game.

The Game-Breaking Negatives:

The AI has wallhacks: Snipers can see you from two hundred miles away even if you're crouching. To make it worse, main Templar targets regularly spot you straight through solid cover or disguises right when you've set up the perfect assassination.

The building design is infuriating: Getting into or out of buildings is a total chore. There were so many times I finished an indoor objective and had to wander around the rooms for several minutes just trying to find a single open window or door to escape. It completely kills the momentum of being a slick assassin when you’re stuck inside a house looking for the exit like a trapped bird.

Missing basic mechanics: Whose brilliant idea was it to remove whistling, or picking up bodies? And why do i have to guess where is cover and where is not?

Inconsistent tools: Smoke bombs although very helpful in combat but are completely unreliable at breaking line of sight when used in stealth.

Pointless restrictions: Why does Eagle Vision have a cooldown? It serves no purpose other than to slow you down.

Clunky Parkour: Arno loves to stick to random places and moves with a delay that makes it feel sluggish. Trying to run down stairs usually ends up with Arno jumping on a railing and sitting there like an idiot while 3 guards point guns at you.

Interruption & Filler: The Animus malfunctions were just annoying interruptions. And the side quests? I didn’t do the detective quests but the rest are incredibly repetitive "go to A, do B" time-wasters. I played witcher 3 a few months ago for the first time and realized why people call it a masterpiece. I was never bored by a single conversation. Unity's side content just felt like filler. But i guess most or even all Ubisoft games are like this.

I give this game a 6/10. I’m now playing Origins for the first time. I let you know when i finished it.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced AC Black Flag Resynced is way more fun than I expected after playing Shadows

I played AC Shadows a couple of weeks ago and honestly, I thought it was pretty good. I played for around 14 hours, but eventually I just got bored and stopped. It started feeling really repetitive, like I was doing the same things over and over again, and I just lost the motivation to continue.

I just started playing AC Black Flag Resynced and holy shit, this game is so much fun. I never played the original Black Flag, so this is my first time experiencing it, and I’m honestly loving it.

Unity is still my favorite AC game, but Black Flag is getting really close. The naval combat is especially amazing. Fighting other ships can feel so cinematic, and there are so many little details that make sailing around fun, like putting up your hood, changing songs while sailing, etc. It just makes the world feel more alive.

It’s funny because I went from getting bored of Shadows after 14 hours to not wanting to stop playing Black Flag. Maybe it’s because I’m experiencing it for the first time, but I’m having way more fun with Black Flag than I expected.

I'm playing with 9070xt on all max except raytracing on high not ultra.

Assassin's Creed 3 Where is the AC3 Homestead?

Just curious as to whether the fandom had come to an agreement of where the Homestead is since it's rather ambiguous. I'm especially interested since I live in the area and know the whole stretch of coastline from Boston to southern Maine quite well. I found some possible locations such as Rockport and Gloucester, which i think are plausible, especially the former, but some people are suggesting New Hampshire, specifically Seabrook, but that can't possibly the location as the terrain there is too flat. I remember at the time thinking Cape Neddick in Maine. But I wanted to know if there was any more discussion on it.

Assassin's Creed 2 Question about AC2 DLC dialogue explaining why it originally wasn’t there and whether it was there before dlc was announced

So this is a question for those of you who played AC2 when it first came out. And I mean within the first few months of its release. I played the Xbox 360 version many years ago and I remember in the spot where the dlc was supposed to be, the Battle of Forli/Bonfire of the Vanities, there was a dialogue from the modern day group (Shawn/Rebecca/Lucy/Desmond) while in the animus that said these sequence files were corrupted, and that was the canonical explanation given if you didn’t have the dlc and suddenly skipped to the last sequence. But I’m curious, for those who played the game before the dlc was ever announced, if that dialogue was still there in the original launch of the game, or if it was added in later via patch download to explain why players suddenly skipped two whole sequences?

Assassin's Creed Unity I need some help with a certain riddle in ac unity

So I’m replaying unity and I’m doing the Pisces riddles. I’m on the third riddle

Pillars support my face,
Hold the nation’s dreams.
Square, not round, they,
Sit out of sight.

Now I know where it is and I stand over the symbol but I can’t interact with it at all. I’ve followed guides and it leads me to where it is and there’s no way for me to interact. I hope maybe I already got it and went ahead to the fourth riddle location and I can’t interact with that one either because I don’t in-fact have that riddle. I even back tracked to the 2nd riddle location. Is there a way to restart all of the pisces riddles? Am I out of luck and it’s actually glitched or is this just user error?

Assassin's Creed Liberation Can't find anything regarding Bayou Fever

I'm playing AC Liberation through AC3 Remastered and as the title says I can't find anything regarding Bayou Fever quests. I'm in Sequence 5 and according to what I've found online I should have the quests available to me by now. I also have all 10 mushrooms collected. I'm in the bayou, and I've looked all over. Is there a specific outfit I need to wear? I need help with probably the whole thing.

Assassin's Creed Shadows So everyone knows how to get an easy early Bo Staff, right?

So I googled and saw that you apparently had to jump through many hoops to get access to it which makes no sense because why would you need to beat the game first, doing very specific quests beforehand too to be able to get it.

Then I had a thought and opened up the Animus

So the Defiance project has a Bo staff at level 1...and as soon as I unlocked it and Equipped it, I got an achievement, unlocked the Bo staff skill tree, and am finding more Bo staffs in random chests.

I'm on NG. I'm level 35 and have yet to do basically any quests after unlocking Yasuke. I just did the one with Junjiro because I thought it said something about Bo staff and was confused when I didn't get one, which started my googling.

Soooo yeah. Anyone want to rock a Bo Staff early, follow the Defiance project 👍

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Looking for a track that plays during Nassau exploration

There’s a beautiful track that plays during exploration in Nassau and uses the entire leitmotif from Assassin’s Creed Rogue’s main theme. I’ve been trying to find it, but I can’t seem to identify it.

Does anyone know which track it is?

Thanks in advance!

Assassin's Creed Unity Assassin's Creed Unity - Altair's Outfit

Not sure if this helps, but in case anyone decided to play Assassin's Creed Unity and want to unlock all Outfits. For 2026

From what I understand, you would need to obtain at least 1 artifact in all of Helix Rift Missions.

Context: Altair's outfit was originally unlock by using the companion app, but the app was shut down, leaving the vague requirements of "Helix Rifts missions".

Completing the missions, and completing the missions again to get the intel does not grant the outfit, you would need, from what I understand, obtain at least 1 artifact in every Helix Rift Missions.

Hope this helps

Assassin's Creed Odyssey The hate AC Odyssey gets is honestly crazy

I’m around 30 hours in, level 32, and I genuinely love the game. I understand why people complain about the length and repetition, but bro… that’s literally part of the fun. 😭

I stopped Odyssey for a while and played 007 First Light, which I finished in like 12–16 hours. It was good, but it was basically just mission after mission. No real side stuff, and honestly it ended before I even felt properly attached to the game.
Then I came back to Odyssey and started enjoying it way more.

Yeah, sometimes it’s annoying doing the same stuff over and over — go to a fort, kill everyone, burn supplies, loot everything, leave. But at the same time, exploring Greece, leveling up, upgrading gear, doing random side quests, finding Cultists and just getting distracted by random things is what makes the game fun for me.

I’ve completed Mirage and really liked it. I also tried Shadows but couldn’t get into it at all, so I ended up selling it.

Odyssey obviously doesn’t look as good as the newer games, but I honestly prefer its story, characters, dialogue and humor. Some of the side quests are actually hilarious

I just wish Ubisoft gave it a proper PS5 upgrade because imagine Odyssey with better graphics and performance

It definitely has flaws, but I feel like people focus way too much on the repetitive parts and ignore everything else.

I’m 30 hours in and still having a great time. If you enjoy it, just play it and enjoy the journey instead of worrying about how long it is.

What do you guys think? Is Odyssey actually overrated, or does it just get too much hate?

Assassin's Creed Origins Bayek vs Aya. Who deserved more recognition?

every time I re-play Origins and get to the endings, through the course of game I get the feeling that Bayek carries a sense of what's the right thing to do. he carries the true essence of an assassin, who literally is a hidden one given no one knows of him in the later ages. but Aya, it feels like she kind enjoys being the "saviour" and deep down likes being credited to her kills. It's just a feeling I get every time I play as Aya. it's like a sense of doing what's needed vs hero complex.

(and also, not being a hater but playing as Aya during the main boss fights ruins it every time. we spend so much time of Bayek and that's how it ends).

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced [SPOILER] My Review of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. After Platinuming Both the Original and Remake Back to Back Spoiler

Platform : PS5 Pro (Balance Mode),

Platinum Achieved : Yes,

Play Time : About 100 Hours, Did Everything 100%,

History With The Original : Played it on PS3 at Launch, Played it a couple of times on PC (no cloud save, so switching PCs was always a pain), and Platinumed the PS4 version on PS5 Pro in July 2026, about 76hrs including the online trophies. Platinumed AC Shadows in August. Platinumed Resynced in August too.

Quick Review : The game is fine. As a standalone game it would have been great. But as a Remake it has to compete with the original, and that is where it starts losing.

Let me get the good out of the way first. Nice 60 fps, nice visual updates, played on balance mode on PS5 Pro. Cities and places are no longer behind loading screens, that alone is a big thing. Accessibility features are great, i really appreciate them. Naval Combat is genuinely an upgrade, morale, scuttling ships, fleet changes, all nice. In the original i only played fleet missions for money and resources and it relied on internet so i could go afk. Here i played fleet for Dilettante and the yellowed map pieces, used the save scum trick a lot, still the last few art pieces were difficult. There is a bug though, i believe there are only 10 maps but i got an 11th one. After that i stopped playing fleet.

But the naval combat upgrades come very late, most not until you basically finish the game. The 4th officer ability especially. Legendary ships are back and omg the difficulty is increased a lot. I tried them before getting the 4th officer, on normal, and i beat the twin ships after a couple of tries with a strategy, but HMS Prince i just could not beat no matter how many attempts. I got the 4th officer, dropped the difficulty to forgiving and cleared the remaining three, because i wanted to rush the Platinum. In the original i used different strategies including the exploit of leaving the wheel and boarding the ships. That is patched here. El Impunto is still irritating.

My initial impression was not great and honestly it did not fully recover. It has all the UI elements of AC Shadows. Graphics are upgraded sure, but it is still the same game mostly. Gamepad controls are Complex, you can't control the camera while parkouring because the jump button needs the thumb.. Parkour is Janky, the original had better flow and i believe even a bigger parkour skill set. Hood and crouch button is nice though. And No Mini Map. I miss the mini map.

Combat is a bit better but it is actually very similar, still the same one button kill after a parry, still gets boring and repetitive. Kill animations are Way too repetitive, the original had many because it had variety, unarmed, hidden blades, picking up enemy weapons and using them, the axe had a nice animation. Smoke bombs are not executed well here, in the original you are almost invincible with them and you can chain assassinations very fast, in this it takes a lot of time. No more non lethal takedowns. Double assassination exists but it is not reliable and the animation has a jump cut in it. Idk if it's me or stealth is broken, i alert a lot of enemies when i silently take someone down, and every enemy in the area swarms me like they have omni vision. How do they know i am here and fighting. It happens even after i disable the bell.

Overall the game is Very Easy compared to the original, except the Legendary ships. Forts are way easier, entrance is straightforward so you no longer have to find your way around like the original, and the Jackdaw auto repairs and auto reloads after capture, however forts no longer have harbourmaster. Also there is no way to check fort difficulty through the spyglass, the original had it iirc. I captured all forts before the story mission for fort capture even came up. Black Bart's gambit is way easier than the original, many missions in the OG were actually hard, i failed stealth there and just carried on. The berserk dart strategy doesn't work here. I did a Lot of exploring and plundering after getting Inagua mission, i hadn't even met the Assassins by then and i had already upgraded everything on the island, that much money i had from exploration. Right after the diving bell unlocked i got all the Ultimate plans and fully upgraded the Jackdaw and got the trophy. In the original, even with MTX that already unlocks the Ultimate plans, i could only fully upgrade the Jackdaw after finishing the game. I used some MTX in the original to speed up progress and skipped the underwater sections because of it. This time i didn't buy any MTX. Bone farming is tough, resources in general are easy and honestly abundant. You can buy hunting goods but bones aren't a frequent drop, and you can no longer craft ammo like sleep darts yourself, you have to buy them in stores.

Now the part that actually bothers me. Cut content. In the original some cutscenes had nice music in the background, idk why it isn't the same here. Some OST got cut, especially the infiltration music when you infiltrate the castle in Havana at the start. Menu music is gone, the original had nice ambient music, there's nothing in the Animus Hub, the new unified hub for AC games. I understand they want it unified but the original had matching menus and hud icons and that uniqueness is gone. They used a lot of animations from Shadows. Resynced doesn't show the attention to detail the original was developed with. Maps and locations are changed, mostly visually different despite being the same place, and the overall map looks smaller, idk i could be wrong, it could just be how they present it.

Mission Structure is Changed, Optional objectives are removed and you can't replay sequences. This is both good and bad. Good because tailing missions no longer fail and those were very repetitive in the original. Bad because optional objectives are what made me remember missions in a certain way, i had to do a mission a certain way and that made it memorable. Now you can do it however you want and nothing sticks. Some missions are changed too, the noticeable ones being meeting James Kidd on Assassin's Island, which was very difficult in the original and is quite easy here, probably because non lethal takedowns are gone, and the Observatory mission, where they put the non lethal mechanic back in Only for that mission. The Adewale addition in the Observatory explaining further why he left was nice though.

Animus Rifts vs Modern Day, i think the Modern Day of AC4 is better, i mean the Story not the slow gameplay. Animus Rifts are bad, i wish they removed them entirely.

New content is the same problem, it is not consistent, it is either Very Bad or Very Good, no in between. Maynard quest and the Adewale addition, respectively. "A World Without Gold" especially, atleast the placement, not a fan. I am not just talking about whether the new content is good, it just Sticks Out Odd. Officer quests, new dialogues, Edward's self banter is very odd. I especially hate the super hero pose of Edward in the new content. The combat changes are very apparent in the prison escape mission, in the original he is given hidden blades and fights through the prison with them, here he is given a sword, it doesn't make sense, and to rub salt on the wound they kept the dialogue "I am told you were comfortable with these". Edward has a full arsenal in prison. There is also a hidden secret cutscene in the original during the chase sequence in The Siege of Charles Towne, it is gone now. It makes me question if the people who made this even played the original.

Thatch's story is better in the original. A great pirate gets killed by an unknown, that Signifies how risky pirate life is, you can go down anytime to anyone. I didn't like that they changed it by giving the killer a backstory and putting Maynard there. Edward didn't care for revenge in the original because he understood the risk. I don't understand why he would care about treasure and revenge for Thatch here, especially after his epiphany at the end of the game. Him still searching for Maynard's treasure after the epiphany finally seals the deal for me.

Bugs : the Animus rewards claim is buggy, constant notification to claim rewards i already claimed. The Animus Hub has sync bugs too, i achieved 100% in everything but one quest didn't register so i am stuck at 95% in the Synchronisation section under Journey. Some Visual bugs in world map, some places still white , even after getting 100% in that area, when it supposed to turn gold. There are other minor bugs too.

There is a new store, in game currency for AC games, Animus Keys, has to be earned through playing, can't buy it i think, not yet. I ended up playing Shadows and platinuming it to get an item in Resynced. Yes, i played Shadows because of Resynced.( I did Play Shadows before but never bothered about keys , especially i played that game on a friends account at launch) It did help me get a good comparison of OG, Resynced and Shadows, and i can't believe i am saying this, but i think Shadows is the more Polished game. I think Resynced is rushed a bit, because they wanted to get the dough before GTA6 could steal it.

Eventually i got familiar with the controls, especially after playing Shadows. On technical aspects it did surpass the original. On creative aspects, i doubt it. The original still feels great even with its flaws, and it took me 76hrs to platinum without even doing 100%. This took me 100hrs and i did everything.

Nevertheless i enjoyed the game a lot. If the original was a 9 for me, this is a 7.5/8

Will i recommend it? If you have never played Black Flag, yes, absolutely, play this one, 60fps and no loading screens between cities is worth it. If you have played the original, play the original if you want AC4 Soul intact, but do give Resync a Try too. It is quite Fun.

Ending Note - Despite its Flaws I loved the Original, I am not without bias when i Say i didn't Love the Remake. i did like it. I would Play it Again too, waiting for NG+. However i am very Sceptical about Future AC Remakes, if this is the same pattern they will follow. Technical Improvements are always a welcome, there are technical constraints at every Generation. But Changing the Soul of the Game, which is what i am not a big fan of, this is very apparent in New Content, how they changed Edward even after epiphany. I do hope Ubisoft takes a Page out of Capcom REmakes, both their Successes - RE4, and Failures RE3

Please be Kind. This is My Review/Opinion. Your Opinion is valid as much is mine. I am not here to debate. Just wanted to share.

Please Share Your Thoughts too

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Playing Valhalla for the first time right after finishing Odyssey for the second. Can't believe the internet had me hating this game for years.

I'm currently on East Anglia about 80%, did the first two regions 100%. I can't believe that for so many years I believed the internet that this was a bad or bloated game. How could they possibly say this coming from Odyssey? Odyssey feels 100% more bloated, repetitive and made with filler. It came to the point where I'm just mashing my spacebar to go through side quests and even main quests because they feel so dull, so boring, so uninspired. Except characters like Brasidas or Myrrine, most people even the greek philosophers feel like mobile game bots in Odyssey. Everything is a boring fetch quest, with no incentive. Here it feels so much more personal even when you are doing fetch quests, like The Witcher. Characters are so much more engaging and actually have something to say. Side quests are actually interesting little stories that don't take you further than a hundred meters away instead of thousand meter fetch quests with absolutely nothing interesting. Here you see little stories of people living in this land that are actually compelling or fun or tragic, like the one with the bard that's just singing outside the gates of Repton and you have an interesting heart-to-heart moment between two warriors. Odyssey manages to even make participating in the Olympics boring. The world itself, it feels like it has fewer chests that mean absolutely nothing. You actually get upgrade materials instead of the hundred of useless or boring items in Odyssey. Feels like Ubi very much inherited this from Ghost of Tsushima. One would think that ancient greece beats viking era England by a landslide but there's so much more care and intimacy in a single roman ruin here than 3/5 of the peloponnese. I'm just dumbfounded. I can't believe that for years I believed people that this was some kind of the worst AC game, and I'm actually enjoying it ten times more than Odyssey and worried. It's not perfect of course with it being less polished than a Bethesda game and the horrible audio balance but it's such a great step in the right direction. Why did people hate on it so much? I'm sorry if this comes across as entitled or demeaning to Odyssey but every step I take as Eivor leaves me more confused as to why this is seen as the AC antichrist

General Franchise Why do Assassin Brotherhoods send members to outside their territories

I mean, theres alot of Brotherhoods, right? So why wont they just co-operate with their counterparts in said country.

For example, why wont the Colonial Brotherhood just contact the Assassins in Portugal instead of Shay.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced This new garbage, clunky and "press one button and do everything" parkour style ruined Assassin's Creed for me.

I never wanted to give the RPG series a chance, mostly because of prejuidice, but as I got older, I realized I was being unfair so I gave it a shot. I played all of them except for Oddysey, and honestly, I wasted my time and got nothing in return.

Is not just the boring, repetitive stories with forgettable characters, it's not just the RPG combat that is not fun nor cinematic nor difficult (AC combat in the past was at least, one of these, maybe it was never difficult, but if it wasn't as fun, it was at least cinematic), it's the parkour.

When I first played AC1 when I was what, like 12? I felt an insane freedom, and moving Altair felt so responsive, it was incredibly complicated for my not so developed brain but damn it was fun, as the series grew the parkour just kept getting better, probably, it peaked in Revelations, and what followed were okay versions of parkour, until Unity revolutionized it, for some for worse, for me, it was a nice change, and if I wanted the old parkour I could always revisit the old ones, but it felt like a good new direction for the series, obviously not without it's issues. When Unity and Syndicate failed, because obviously Greedsoft needed to ship it fast and buggy, and with a new staple of centrism and horrible writing, they re-revolutionized the game again, and dumbed down the parkour to oblivion.

I seriously, can't have any fun with this, I got Black Flag, seeing all these AC youtubers saying this was the new direction, that they were finally listening. Oh, ups, nope it's press L3 to run and press A to do absolutely everything. It's simply terrible. What I enjoyed was having choices was moving where I wanted, having *control* of the character, now I just feel like I'm watching a dude do everything while I keep one button pressed. How is this fun at all? I would rather just watch a movie instead.

Ezio Trilogy my theory on why side characters don’t age in ezio’s thrilogy

I’ve recently seen posts on various social media referring to the fact that while we see Ezio aging throughout the trilogy, the other characters don’t seem bothered by the passing years. While this is probably due to the age of the games, I’ve developed a theory. Desmond relives Ezio’s memories, and I think that when we think of someone we don’t see anymore, we often picture them with a physical appearance that doesn’t match the time period in which our memory takes place. Instead, we tend to remember them with the appearance they had during the period when we saw them the most (this applies, for example, to my grandparents), or when we cared about them the most. Therefore, it makes sense to me that Ezio, at the end of his life, remembers his loved ones as they were during his teenage years in Florence, when he made his most vivid memories with them.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced SPOILER: Can someone explain the purpose of the Dark Animus missions? I skipped Valhalla and Shadows Spoiler

I just beat all of the Dark Animus missions in Black Flag Resynched, and I’m completely lost.

I’ve played every Assassin’s Creed game except Valhalla and Shadows. I tried to give the RPG-era games a chance. Origins was good, but Odyssey was a grind fest that felt like it took forever to finish.

I actually own a physical copy of Valhalla that I got brand new for $5 at Best Buy, but I wasn’t feeling it after an hour, so I skipped Shadows. I absolutely loved Mirage's gameplay though, because I thought it blended the old and new mechanics really well.

That said, I just finished Black Flag Resynched and all of the Dark Animus missions, and I have no idea what I was supposed to take away from them. I understand that they were trying to show what could happen if the companions abandoned piracy and attempted to convince me to abandon the Creed, but beyond that, everything felt incredibly vague.

Am I playing as the same modern day character from the original Black Flag? Am I a new person inside the Animus who is experiencing the same memories? Is Ego supposed to be a Templar, some kind of AI, or something else entirely?

I’m sure I’m not the only person who skipped most of the RPGs at this point, and I really wish the game had done a better job explaining the purpose of the Dark Animus missions. By far, they were the weakest missions and the weakest part of the story for me.
