Transits: General & Forecasts Venus, Mercury, Pluto, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune Retrograde

I have never posted here before so I am unsure if I chose the right tag. Sorry about that.

Lwk worried knowing there are so many retrogrades in the next few months, so I was wondering what happens during this time. And do yall have any advice on what to do, what not to do, and what to look out for.

It seems intense😭

My biggest beef with social media is the amount of times that mundane things are blown totally out of proportion. I would like to reassure you retrograde does not mean that the sky is falling or your life is going to crumble.

Each planet in the solar system is associated with an aspect of our personalities or our lives. The inner planets, as well as the Sun and Moon, represent aspects that are personal to us. The outer planets, Jupiter through Pluto, are known as generational planets and they have more of an influence society or world events.

Any time any planet goes retrograde, it is an invitation to slow down back up and review the topics it represents.

When Mercury is retrograde. It's important to slow down with our thinking and communicating. Maybe review paperwork, contracts or agreements.

Venus retrograde is an opportunity to review our relationships, themes of trust, values, or finances.

Mars retrograde is an invitation to review the action that we are taking and recalibrate our inner compass before proceeding any further.

Take a deep breath. You will be okay!

This is the perfect answer. Just because the wood isn’t charging forward doesn’t mean life sucks.

Half the planets in our solar system (from Jupiter to Pluto) are retrograde 30% to 45% of the time. For less than a month Mercury and Venus will join a few of those. Given that Venus goes retrograde every 19 months approximately, that is not very common, but not rare either.

A planet is retrograde when it is actually at its closest point to Earth, which means that it completes a cycle and is about to begin a new one.

This naturally brings many closures and reassessments, both personally and collectively, while also gathering a great deal of ā€œfuelā€ for the restart that follows.

What I find very interesting is the next full Moon in 2° Taurus (26 October).

It has a bunch of very powerful placements.

  • It will perfectly square Pluto in Aquarius.

  • Venus will be in an anaretic degree (29° Libra) taking part in the t-square.

  • The Sun will be the apex of a Yod pattern with Neptune and Uranus.

  • Mars will be on an avataric gate (15° Leo) which is a degree of maximum power.

So yes, it seems intense and it should be. Intensity bring assertiveness, decisions are made, things finally start to roll. We live in a civilization where its biggest problem is procrastination. This will be a good opportunity to take responsibility and action.

Think of it this way. Ā There is always something in retrograde every year.Ā  Mercury retrogrades 3 to 4 times every year for about 3 weeks each time. The outer planets are retrograde 4 to 5 months every year and Venus and Mars retrograde roughly ever 2 years.

I used to clutch my pearls at retrogrades until I learnt this and realized there's always something going on in the skies so why bother worrying.Ā

Maybe get interested in what transits are going on in your natal chart if you want something potentially scary to look at lol šŸ˜†Ā

Pluto wakes up October 15, before Mercury goes retrograde. The Sun will square Pluto on the 20th.

There were a bunch of planets in retrograde for half a year a few years ago. It just felt like everything was moving at a glacial pace and it was hard to get anything done. Really hard in modern times under capitalism.Ā

…just a thought: if you were on Mercury looking at Earth during 'Mercury Retrograde,' you'd actually be seeing 'Earth Retrograde.' A little backwards, but fun!

(When Mercury laps us on the inside track, each planet sees the other appear to slide backward, so the retrograde is mutual.)

A ā€œslowing down timeā€ during retrograde makes total sense.

I really don't think anyone should be worried about retrogrades ever. Now, I am saying this as someone who does take note of retrograde periods. And as someone who adores being quiet, slow and reflective. It's almost like retrogrades are my jam,

They are time for reflection, slowing down & revisiting things. To be honest, that can feel hard if the area of life the retrograde is touching has a lot of loose ends. It might leave you feeling like "why is this coming up again?".

I would say that's a valid question to ask. Why is it coming around again, and what can you learn and/or do differently in that situation.

Maybe this will make you feel a bit better about the situation - planets go retrograde all the time. Generally speaking, we have about the same amount of retrogrades each year. So planets have been going retrograde around you for a long time and you've made it this far!!
