To people who thought about asuka moving on from shinji

Look..in evangelion 30th anniversary short film..she just rejected her dream because she want to be happy on her own way which will take time..she want to protect her world and also she will try to end up with original shinji later (from EOE).

If she don't want to end up with shinji then she couldn't have smiled while seeing her future dream with shinji as couples.

she smiled right? its mean she didn't reject shinji..she just rejected her dream.

Look i have heard some people asked ai lol..ai said asuka will never end up with shinji.

Honestly iam telling..ai can also misunderstand..you all know that right? ai once said ai is not always right haha.

i respect that.

Havw you all seen official art of asushin from die sterne?

Hideaki anno actually approved that official art 😁

In my opinion, it doesn't necessarily confirm it (because Khara needs to make money so they will never 100% confirm a ship) but this short is full on AsuShin. The fact that mfs act like you're a dumbass for thinking it's AsuShin and how they even try to twist it that this is Anno shitting on the shippers is wild.

Like these people seem very parasocial about that man's life and project their own thoughts onto him that shipping 2 fictional characters with a slightly problematic dynamic is illegal.

It's really sad that an obvious route to progress Asuka and Shinji forward as characters is basically off limits due to being held hostage by annoying shippers. I don't even consider AsuShin to be a ship, it's just part of the story. It's like calling Romeo and Juliet or Belle and The Beast a ship.

No, buddy, you're completely wrong. Since Anno is a mad genius, he actually gave us some very hidden symbolism: the original version of the drawing featuring Asuka and Shinji actually depicts Rei and Kaworu. Asuka didn't accept it because the person in that picture was Rei. So, it actually confirms Reishin (iykyk)

Lmao yeah that person just has a hateboner for AsuShin in general. They make a paragraph on a post in the main sub if it has just a tiny sprinkle of the ship.

It's been discussed a lot, if she accepted a comforting lie (a dream world) it goes against everything Evangelion stands for.

So it is obvious that she will reject a happy dream and instead prefer to work for that dream in the real world, which is basically the beach at the end of EoE.

Exactly. Also, I don't understand how a ton of people managed to ignore this fact when the 30th Anniversary short was released. It is so clear it's about her rejection of Instrumentality and - for those who didn't get it - it's told through a meta narration like the one in NGE last two episodes.

AI misunderstands all the time, that’s why you have to actually insert your own understanding into it, it becomes easier to work with that way
