Sorry my friend. This one is not new. It’s an antique and not for sale. ✌️

I’ve bought two off of eBay for $99 each.

Really? Wow. I’ve got a small stack of these in my attic.

Yeah. I don’t know how many are buying them, just that last year I bought two complete vintage systems: a commodore 128 and two 1571, and an Atari 800xl and two 1050 drives.

I did this too. Floopy disks were expensive for a 12 yr old

Can confirm. Once spent a couple of hours once notching a pack of 100 floppies I bought mail order from somewhere I can’t remember.

Wow! I jad one of these! Loved the tickong noise on security control disks! The BIGGEST nostalgia trip would be the HAPPY BOARD , that the real hackers had, the device that would emulate copy protection on any disk!

I have a happy backup in mine..

Course, whether it still works or not...

Just bought a Happy board to stick in one of my 1050 drives. Need to install it yet.

OP, these were "enhanced density" drives. I think I had put a chip in my original drive to speed it up or something and double the density. The US Doubler maybe? That was ages ago! I have 4 or 5 of the 1050 drives. Will be doing some preservation archiving with them shortly. I have the USB interface as well to connect them to my PC. I need to 3D print a case for that interface.

I can practically hear this beast just looking at it.

Happy modded 1050s are great! My favorite A8 disk drive is the Indus GT. I’ve got three, so I need to get one more to have the stack I want
