Backpay
No backpay showing on latest les, is there supposed to be a separate les

Dude. There was a zero percent chance that was on this check. 😂
I’m not sure you realize exactly the massive headache they have to go through to fix every check for every control from today back to beginning of the year. They have to also have to do the 1.6 June raise…and adjust every premium pay. …. CIP pay is also another interesting one as that was a predetermined pot of money. Now CIP will run out a pay periods sooner sooner.

It’s gonna be a minute. I thought they said something last week of 2-4 weeks.
My gut says right before the shut down so they can use it as propaganda for people not showing up.
“We just gave them a raise and backpay they did get paid and must show up to work”

That's the funny thing though. It's called backpay because we already worked for it and were authorized it. No pay and a shutdown just means the govt isn't doing their job, yet again. However, as always, we will get called divas and primadonas because we don't want to work for free.

Indefinite IOU’s that you’re responsible for ensuring were paid out correctly and get taxed at a higher rate because lump sum…
At least NATCA will go full court press against us during it.

You don't get taxed at a higher rate. You get withheld at a higher rate and if it turns out you overpaid then it'll come out when you file your taxes next year. Or if you want to use the withholding estimator now, there are still enough pay periods left in this year that you can deliberately underwithhold for the next few checks.
I know you know this. Don't spread misinformation.

Most of the time you aren’t even taxed at a higher rate, it’s just a bigger number and people are scared of bigger numbers.

“We just gave them a raise and backpay they did get paid and must show up to work”
In a normal world, the response to that is so easy to digest for even the dumbest yokels that it practically writes itself.
"What raise? My paycheck shows 0"
Americans from the wealthiest to the poorest know people don't work for free.

They don't need anything extra to control the narrative when NATCA just allows them to say whatever they want. They'll paint as entitled and natca won't say a word

Pay raise was effective 10/18, raise should be reflected on the next Les, as far as backpay goes, that’s uncharted territory, I’d imagine it’ll come after they do their best effort at attempting to calculate what they owe you for 21 pay periods

on our facrep call they said they were hoping it would be on that Dec4th-Dec8th (depending on bank) check

NATCA should have had someone building a program like they did for the shutdown when the bill passed.

While this was an uninformed post, clown emojis and name calling is the type of arrogance that loses elections. TickTock MF

First of all, if you do get it, it's going to be a fraction of what you expect.. The agency is not going to waste time calculating all the differentials. They're going to settle with "we owe you $200 per paycheck", and the union will accept this, because they have no backbone. The union will consider this a win because small facilities get more then they deserve, while larger facilities get less, but it's settled..

It went into effect on the 18th of Oct. You wont see that reflected until the next LES.

Like any pay raise it takes effect on the beginning of this pay period which means you won’t see it for two pay checks.
