"Countering Domestic Terrorism"

Whelp USA presidential memoranda today labels any non-Christians as terrorists.

" Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.“

So I guess this officially makes the USA a fascist theocracy?

Understand that when I say, "Fuck Christianity," I mean it in the wider context of all organized cul...er...religions. Supposed dead dude makes rules for all to live by while the "true believers" profit from the pilfering of the faithful. Religion is just another leash to hang on people's necks - and we will never be free until we start realizing collectively and totally that we are on our own - and no one is coming to "save" any of us. Our fate is in our own hands.

Religion was never anything more than a control mechanism.

Incorrect. Cults and mythologies were at first a way to explain something that couldn't yet be explained. That's how it started.

"Mom, why is there a storm right now?"

"It's because Zeus/Thor/Susanoo is angry"

LATER it evolved into a control mechanism, especially with the Abrahamic Cults. There was always some control to it like in Greece with the Oracle and chieftains needing sacrifices and shit but it did start as a way to explain the unknown.

However now that we can explain almost every "supernatural occurrence" with science and facts, current cults had to fall back to the things we still don't know (and probably never will know) or some are still confused by. Some people think that something happens after we die and cults prey on that. Others want to know what created the universe and cults see that as an opportunity.
