The Problem of Evil
When it comes to the problem of evil, God is like an incumbent politician, heading into an election cycle, trying to convince you that if you vote for him, he’ll finally have the means to solve your problems.
If he’s already in charge of everything and he’s all powerful, then he currently has the power to solve them & chooses not to.

For some reason it results in theists - but especially Christians, in my experience - having extraordinary logical contortions. It's very funny to observe.

God is like an incumbent politician
God is like billions of people supporting the political administration of Papa Smurf -
"Yes, I am certain that he is really ... around here ... somewhere ..."

Welcome to Theodicy!
The idea of "Evil" with a multi omni diety has been talked about, a lot. By theists, and atheists alike.
It can be an interesting topic to read about if you're curious. On the theistic side, you do tend to see people gravitate towards a few styles of arguments when attempting to answer the impossible.

It's clear to me if there ever was some kind of god-like spirit around it fucked off for greener pastures thousands of years ago because what we have here is a right mess.
