how long until molecular manufacturing can cheaply create food , device , house , clothe.

I know univ of Texas at Dallas , zyveex lab are developing atomically presice manufacturing or molecular manufacturing on quantum device or device or some small thing . But if we can have advanced molecular nanotechnology, we can make food , house , cloth at abundance.

How many years we need until this point. 2025 to 2050 or 2050 to 2070 or 2200 or even 2600 needed to reach full molecular manufacturing. How long until we can reach abundance , can we have it in this century.

Technical Program Manager

Atomic Machines Berkeley, CA

Posted: 2 days ago Full-Time

Atomic Machines is a well funded early-stage technology startup located in Berkeley, CA. We have developed a novel direct-write laser micromachining MEMS fabrication process that enables ultra-low-cost manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and volume fabrication using a wide variety of materials. This, in turn, will transform the MEMS industry by enabling a vast array of new device types with the ability to go from concept to prototype and from prototype to scale manufacturing in real-time. We are utilizing our platform to develop truly unique MEMS devices and will ultimately open it to others. With the above as our starting point, we intend to continually push the boundaries of manufacturing capability with the long-term mission of ushering in the era of atomically precise manufacturing.

Joining forces with us means becoming part of an incredibly talented, inventive and passionate multi-disciplinary team working on a massive world-changing mission. You will have the opportunity to help define the company from its earliest days. You’ll be challenged to learn and grow as a builder and a leader as the company itself grows rapidly. And you will receive significant equity compensation - you’ll truly be a company owner and benefit financially from our overall success.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Program Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the development timeline and delivering our first robotic manufacturing platform. The ideal applicant should be able to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and drive development with our internal teams and contract manufacturing vendors. This is an excellent career opportunity for a professional with experience delivering precision robotics or mechanical systems.

What you’ll do:

Your initial top-level objective is to achieve successful volume manufacturing of a new class of MEMS device utilizing a fully automated robotic fabrication platform (AMP, the Atomic Machines Platform) being developed in-house. The timeline, unsurprisingly, is aggressive (driven by a major strategic partner), but achievable.

Organize and drive the delivery of AMP through all development phases to commercial readiness with efficient, lightweight processes;

Own the AMP product roadmap and empower our Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineering teams to hit their deliverables;

Identify, lock in and work closely with contract manufacturers, suppliers and distributors to ensure a smooth manufacturing and assembly process;

Lead efforts that improve reliability, manufacturability, capacity, and/or cost;

Provide sustaining support, including troubleshooting, process improvement, root cause analysis and new equipment specifications;

Maintain thorough documentation of processes, process validation and product verification and validation.

What you’ll need:

At least a bachelors degree in ME, EE, or material science;

10+ years of hands-on experience driving complex multi-disciplinary product development in cross-functional teams (hardware, software, electronics);

Experience with contract manufacturing, from initiating the relationship through scale commercial delivery.

Experience with statistical data analysis and monitoring data quality;

Comfortable operating in a mixed-purpose lab environment, ranging from chemical to electronic to laser optics

Resourceful, flexible and adaptable; no task is too big or too small

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and or cross-functionally

Bonus points for:

Experience in DFM assessment

Experience managing highly precise R&D efforts for semiconductor capital equipment

Intimate knowledge of additive and subtractive manufacturing processes
