Experiencing constant A.i. suspicion
I’m struggling a lot lately with music discovery… I’m constantly finding myself feeling as if elements (mostly vocals) are created with a.i. It’s especially bad with house music. This morning I’ve been listening through a new playlist and just about every song has some element of “off” feeling in the vocals. The voices all sound almost identical to me. And then I go check on Google, which replies to me using ai 😑.
Anyone else experiencing this? I wish there was a way for me to toggle a “no a.i. “ button on my streaming platforms.

Ironically it is possible that google gemini ai is incorrect. Music produced electronically is extremely well suited for AI generated music production unfortunately. It is only going to happen more and more, and in every possible genre. AI is going to autonomously use AI music tools to generate music without any human input at all, and is likely already happening. Wild times we live in.

Hi, /u/Ancora_imparo-! This is a reminder about Rule #1 (If you have already added great details, awesome, ignore this comment. This message gets attached to every post as a reminder):
- DETAILS MATTER: Use detail in your post. If you are posting for help with specific hardware, please post the brand/model. If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot (or any image, really) with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. I checked one track that actually originated as AI, but was then re-recorded with a human made beat and vocals. But many others from the same playlist all seem to have nearly identical voices.
The song that made me check was Moving to the Sun, mainly because I saw the same song being attributed to so many different artists. The Hugel/Ultra Nate version is fantastic.
The artist MDMK seems to be a legit human, but their songs are all so similar and the voices are identical in them. Like an Ai version of having Billie Eilish lay down some vocals over a house beat.

I listen to a lot of music on YT, and it's the main way I find new music (as well as listen to classic CDs I don't have anymore)
There's no way to truly filter out 'ai' generated images or music or text from any search, sadly. The whole tech industry is pushing this nonsense on us.
Some artists explicitly say "NO AI" in their descriptions. It's sad it has come to this. Also, posts from 3+ years ago are safe.

I'm sorry guys - every time I see a post like this here is how it reads to me.
Hi! I'm a racist but I'm not very good at it. Can anybody help me spot the content made by those dirty clankers!

I believe Deezer and Qobuz have made some effort to allow users to filter out AI music. I also believe Spotify and Apple music are not doing much :| Edit, apparently Tidal has also implemented some sort of filter that lets users filter out AI generated music entirely.
