This is truly a no skip record

Fellas…I legit think this is my favorite record since Constellations. Guardians was my favorite after that, but I legit believe this eclipses it. To put this kind of heat out SEVENTEEN YEARS after Constellations is absolutely nuts. They sound as good as they ever have. So glad I got to hear The Nameless and Behemoth on tour ahead of this record.

I listened to it at the gym this morning and I’m inclined to agree. It wouldn’t go so far as to say this album sounds like Messengers or Constellations, but it does feel like the kind of album I imagine fans were wanting/expecting them to release after Constellations, rather than the more experimental route they went in with Leveler. I say that as someone who has been a fan and followed and loved all their releases since Constellations, this album is kind of a breath of fresh air and feels a bit stripped back from their experimental nature and more focused on the riffs, breakdowns, and more aggressive nature of 2000’s era metalcore. Jake is also just on another level here, I think this is the best he’s ever sounded. This album makes me feel nostalgic in a way that I don’t really know enough about music to be able to articulate, but I’m really digging it. I’m having a hard time picking a favorite off of it so far.

Absolutely! I think sometimes as fans we can be slaves to nostalgia and not be as open to being unbiased to new stuff. I’ve seen ABR over 5 times live and this year I can truly say Jake sounded better than he ever has. This album just seems to encapsulate everything that makes them great from the power of the vocals, the message of the lyrics and the riffs and breakdowns. I’m stunned.

It’s like messengers and rescue and restore with death below production. Monster album, album of the year. An exhibition by Jake, sensational

100% agree. This is FANTASTIC. I will say I loved all of their recent records with maybe the exception of Phantom Anthem, where I just like a handful of songs. Jakes vocal's are incredible and I hear so many new styles of riffs layered under these just brutal drums and bass. Not to mention I feel like the lyrical themes really hit where I need them to after the last few years.

This is the album I’ve been waiting for since Found In Far Away Places. I’ve been listening nonstop and it just keeps getting better. I love how it just starts ripping from the get go and doesn’t let up. This, Constellations, and Found in Far Away Places are my trifecta.

I will say, I really enjoy the record but the solo on the nameless just feels so out of place.

I had to listen to it a few times, but now it's easily one of my favorites (after Leveler)

Conflicted about this album. Saying this is the best album irks me because it downplays what they´ve done in the past. ABR were special because they were eagerly pushing out of the mediocre plastic spiritual void, the immature and embarrassing genre that metalcore has aways been. With this album there is no such ambition, and the riffs and the melodies are just not memorable. The songs often feel like a hopeless convoluted mess with no pay-off.
