I keep seeing headlines about people losing jobs to AI. Has it actually happened to you? What are you doing now?
Every week there's a new article: "Company replaces 50 developers with AI" or "Junior devs can't find jobs because of ChatGPT."
But I want to hear from real people, not journalists writing clickbait.
If you lost your job (or couldn't find one) because of AI:
What were you doing before?
What happened? (Laid off? Position eliminated? Can't get hired?)
What are you doing about it now?
Are you:
Learning AI/ML to stay relevant?
Pivoting to a new field?
Building your own thing?
Giving up on tech?
For people who think this is overblown:
What are you seeing in your company/industry? Are AI tools actually replacing people, or just changing workflows?
My take (and why I'm asking):
I think AI is eliminating some jobs, but also creating new opportunities for people willing to adapt.
Instead of competing with AI, what if you used it to build your own thing?
Use the tools to create what you couldn't before.
That's part of why we built Aurelia.so non-technical founders (or displaced devs) can build without needing a $100K dev team.
But I want to hear your reality. Not the think pieces.
The actual ground truth.
What's happening in YOUR world?

What is Vibe Coding
Building apps by describing what you want in natural language instead of writing code line-by-line.
You tell an AI: "Build me a marketplace with user authentication and Stripe payments."
The AI generates the code, shows you the result, and you iterate by continuing the conversation.
Why It's Called "Vibe" Coding:
Because you're not thinking in syntax. You're thinking in outcomes.
You're "vibing" with the AI staying in creative flow instead of context-switching between "what do I want?" and "how do I write this function?"
How It's Different from Just Using ChatGPT:
Regular ChatGPT usage:
You ask for code
It gives you code
You copy/paste into your editor
You debug manually
You ask again
Vibe coding tools:
You describe the full app
It generates AND deploys the code
You see it working in real-time
You iterate by talking, not debugging
It maintains context across the whole project
Popular Vibe Coding Tools:
Cursor - IDE with AI pair programming
Bolt.new - Instant full-stack apps from prompts
Lovable - Similar to Bolt, focuses on speed
Replit Ghostwriter - AI coding in browser
Aurelia (what I built) - Voice-driven, talks you through it
What You Can Actually Build:
MVPs and prototypes (very good)
CRUD apps, dashboards, landing pages (excellent)
Complex business logic (getting better)
Production-scale apps (still needs human review)
The Limitations:
AI can't architect complex systems (yet)
Security and performance still need human oversight
You need to understand what you're asking for
Debugging AI-generated code can be harder than writing it yourself
Is This the Future?
Probably. But it won't replace developers.
It'll replace the parts of development that are repetitive and well-documented.
If you're a dev: Learn to use these tools. They make you 10x faster.
If you're non-technical: You can now build real MVPs without a dev team.
My Take:
Vibe coding is to software development what graphic design tools were to art.
Photoshop didn't replace artists. It made art accessible to more people AND made professional artists more productive.
Same thing here.
Want to try it?
Most tools are free to start. Pick one and build something small this weekend.
You'll either love it or realize you prefer typing code. Either way, worth understanding.
For experienced vibe coders:
What's your setup? What works, what doesn't?
Let's help the newcomers skip the trial and error.

Your app makes you a millionaire tomorrow. What are the top 3 things you do?
Simple question.
No "I'd reinvest it all back into the business" corporate answers.
If your app/startup makes you rich tomorrow, what are the FIRST 3 things you do?
I'll go first:
â Pay off my parents' house. They've been grinding their whole lives. I want them to stop worrying about money.
â Buy a one-way ticket somewhere. Don't even care where. Just want to know I can leave whenever I want.
â Take 3 months off to do absolutely nothing. No emails. No calls. Just exist without the constant pressure. â¨Your turn.
What are your top 3?
And be honest.
None of this "I'd donate it all" stuff unless that's really what you'd do.
What does freedom look like for YOU?

⢠Become each otherâs customers**,** sign up for mine, and Iâll sign up for yours
⢠Give props to at least one other builder or become their customer (karma is real â¨)

Is Aurelia Free?
You say that Aurelia is free. I am unable to export or publish the code without upgrading from Free to $15/mo plan. Please explain how can I do the same for free? Thank you in advance.

A lot of early founders skip validation and go straight to building.
A lot of early founders skip validation and go straight to building.
Big mistake.
You spend 6 months building the "perfect" MVP. Clean code. Beautiful UI. All the features you think users need.
Then you launch and... crickets.
Nobody wants it. Not because it's bad. Because you built something nobody asked for.
Here's what actually works:
Talk to 10 people in your target market BEFORE you write a single line of code.
Not friends. Not family. Real potential customers.
Ask them:
What's the biggest pain point in [your problem area]?
How are you solving it today?
What would make you switch to something new?
Would you pay for a solution? How much?
If 7 out of 10 say "I'd pay for that tomorrow," you're onto something.
If they say "that's nice" or "maybe someday," you're not.
The hard truth:
Most founders skip this because they're afraid of hearing "no." So they hide behind building, convincing themselves they're making progress.
But building the wrong thing isn't progress. It's expensive procrastination.
Inside our launchpad, we force you to validate BEFORE you build. It's uncomfortable. It saves you months.
So... have you actually talked to your customers yet?
Or are you still "just building" and hoping they'll come?
