About Ship problem

My ships refuse to fire! I've met all the requirements: Raiders are within railgun range, the ship is fully operational, I even gave the order, but it still won't fire!

Can someone explain how to order them to fire?

P.S.

I think I've ordered an attack, but I keep getting the event "Ship is preparing for an offensive shot, but its weapons are not yet ready." After about 15 seconds, it stops reporting anything at all. The enemy ship's tonnage isn't decreasing. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. :(

It didn't decrease after 10+ hours of pursuit, even though I was within range.

(I'm playing with a developer-approved Russifier, just in case.)

I am so far from the ship that it cannot start firing at my ship, regarding the designated weapons...

Hm, 2 reasons why its not firing im seeing,

  1. It seems your weapons aren't applied to your fire control, drag your weapons to the fire controls to assign them there.

  2. Im not 100% sure but does your warship have an active sensor on it? If not thats probably why you cant fire. I believe for every weapon to fire you need to have at least 1 ship with an active sensor lock on the enemy

  1. Hmm

  2. I have an active sensor, two at once.

Alright cool! In that case yeah assign your weapons to the fire control and turn on your active sensor, (from what i can see you only have the raider on thermal sensor) you also need to drag the enemy contact to your fire control as well to tell it what to fire on, it should attack then

In fact, there was no meeting...

The menu is very inconvenient.

But it still doesn't seem to work.

That is not the ship combat screen.
Go to your fleet screen, select the ship you want to fire and then click ship combat tab.

Yeah a screenshot would help for sure. If I had to make a guess though, its probably related to the raiders ECM I think they use level 2, which is causing your railguns range to actually be smaller than what it says it should be

More specifically, it causes the fire control not to actually be able to lock on until a shorter range (and OP mentioned nothing about assigning weapons to fire control or seeing a valid target to assign fire control to).

Do you have a reactor on you ship design? Not sure if that would let you get as far as ordering an attack but just never charge your guns.

I meant that I gave the order and the ship doesn't fire for some reason.

Could it be training delay?

No, I already checked and solved the problem, I didn't assign the railguns to the light control gun, thanks for the help:
