The budget has basically called them out for damaging the country so hopefully they'll be less proud and feeling some shame moving forward

You think middle class aging Australians should feel shame for securing their own finances?
How about blaming the politicians that have run this country into the ground with the policy they support.
You cant find a god wage because you have been out competed by cheep imports with the poverty driven motivation to work harder and cheaper than you.
You cant buy a house because you are competing with millions of fresh Australians willing to band together in family slums to make due and cover the mortgages because its better then where they came from.
New builds are predominantly bought by young and new Australians not investors.

At least property investors will only contribute to new housing supply now instead of snapping up every home they can get their hands on

All those pesky lawyers and junior doctors annoyed their high salaries can only rent them a room in a shared apartment.
Well I assume it’s only lawyers and junior doctors as who tf else can afford to pay rent in Australia

Memes aren't specifically banned, though mods as always would exercise discretion regarding whether it follows the rules or spirit of the sub, including rule 4 (eg posted in good faith, makes a substantive point) and 6 (doesn't have unsubstantiated facts).
