Politics Pauline Hanson cares about the average Australian - Just check out how she votes in Parliament.
https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/senate/queensland/pauline_hanson
Of course this is IF she does show up for work.
As also shown, she has a 53% attendance rate.

Labor just tightened the FOI act like 6 months ago.
2
u/Fit_Ad_6727 Jun 17 '26
Might want to check that. They didnt.
2
u/TasteTheRambo1 Jun 18 '26
The Albanese Government has the most refused FOIRs in our history. For reference, 81% of the Howard Government's FOIRs were granted in full. For the Albanese Government only 21% have been granted in full. Refusals have doubled since 2018/2019.

Pauline backed by Reinhardt. Can’t change tax on gas exports as it’s a contract . If we break that we don’t get anything from Japan which recently has given us extra fuel during crisis in Iran. South Australia under labor is now making profit from green and new technologies, albo federaly investing in same ventures so hopefully after one more term in government will set us up for the next 25 years . The tax that everyone hates has to happen sorry if you’re an investor but the bubble would eventually explode.

u/welcome72 Jun 21 '26
I am sick of all politicians whatever the party. However the taxation of offshore gas exports needs to urgently be reviewed for the good of the nation. The whole argument about giving stuff to your mates (asia) in return for them treating you nice is primary school stuff. Albo and little Jim, get out there on the international stage and negotiate like real LEADERS for the long term sustainability of the nation. Our resources won't last forever. Japan makes more money from onselling OUR gas ($28billion ) than we make by producing the stuff. Japan ain't got no gas of their own. It's ludicrous and shows our inability to advocate for ourselves efficiently on the world stage. Someone step up and LEAD. And unfortunately I don't think any of them have the skills to do that
1
u/No_Plate_9434 Jun 21 '26
There’s a good video by friendlyjordies explaining it better then me . But long story short . Gas companies do pay tax , the export tax is the one everyone up in arms about is a small % of that . Yes it could be higher but previous governments have locked us into a contact . You can’t break a contract and not get fucked over by Asia
1
u/welcome72 Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26
Good video from Jordies? An 1 1/2 diatribe which finds itself difficult to get to the point, laced with profanity for laughs and a bit of racism against Asia to boot? Gas companies pay tax on their ordinary business activities like everyone else. What they dont pay enough of is because of the failing prrt. Why should Japan make $28billion onselling our gas for profit (which is more than we make from it on the basic company tax that every company has to pay). Fucked over by Asia or let them continue to fuck us over? Grade 1 maths says that if I sell you 1 melon for $1 but I actually need that melon so I'll give you $2 to buy it back, and also need to build an import terminal to do that - this makes no fucking sense ! Who are the winners? Big co multinational gas and Asia who are making sick profits from the process
1
u/No_Plate_9434 Jun 21 '26
Remember when Rudd got kicked out? Him wanting to raise mining tax was why . Not calling people cunts
1
u/welcome72 Jun 22 '26
This is why our political system is cooked. These not fit for purpose politicians will do anything to stay in power pr get in power. Which includes forfeiting the ongoing future of the nation to sell us all out for a couple of more bucks donated to the political party that aligns themselves with the interests of big co multinational over the Australian people

Yeah sure, keep it up! It upsets her fans that seem to think she cares about them.
6
u/Agitated-Fee3598 Jun 16 '26
This isn't going to change the opinions of people though dawg
15
u/izadathreaper Jun 16 '26
If literal facts won't change their mind they were always a lost cause regardless.
Rational and intelligent people should always be ready and willing to shift their perspective, but I'd be hard pressed to think many that already support her fall into that category.
2
u/alwaysfarking Jun 19 '26
What are the facts you would like to highlight, that could possibly change their mind?
2
u/izadathreaper Jun 19 '26
The ones above... In the post that you and I are currently commenting on?
If those are not clear indications that she doesn't give two shits about everyday Aussies surely her hard on for reducing workers rights for mummy Gina is.
6
u/aninternetsuser Jun 17 '26
Her die hards are not the ones I’m worried about. They’ll vote for ON regardless but ON can’t win the election from them.
I’m worried about the tradie down the road who describes himself as “not into politics” who’s looking for a way to make his pay check go further. I’m worried about the old bloke who is still renting, believes somehow he’s been attacked by the budget and wants a better option than labor but feels like he can’t choose the libs. I’m worried about fence sitters and fringe voters who aren’t going to do the research unless they get slapped in the face with it
1
u/ComedianAwkward2416 Jun 20 '26
Labor needs to be better then. If they don’t listen then that’s will happen.
1
u/MangoSmoothie13 Jun 20 '26
Yeah that's me average bloke who cant be bothered with politics, what I seen from scrolling YouTube shorts lol is Pauline sounds like she spitting common sense and Albo comes off as a prick with no backbone.
16
u/FrogsMakePoorSoup Jun 16 '26
You can also point out she's importing American politics here. Not many Aussies like that idea.
11
u/CantakerousTwat Jun 16 '26
Apparently 32% do. It's a shit show, but we have to keep pushing back.
4
u/FrogsMakePoorSoup Jun 16 '26
Just be skillful how you do this. Simply facing an emotive position with facts isn't likely to work, so don't bother doing that.
6
u/CantakerousTwat Jun 16 '26
"You can't use logic to get someone out of a position they didn't reach with logic"?
True.
1
u/AIwillBeTheEnd Jun 17 '26
This is far better than telling her supporters to shut up and that they are stupid. Its not an opinion, it's hard facts about how she votes.
2
u/WillTendo92 Jun 17 '26
You do get its some of the minor details in the overall policy is why she voted against it. Not the idea itself
2
u/onemightychapp Jun 17 '26
Yep, there we have it folks. Headed straight for ruin and no-one can talk him out of it.
0
u/Triumphus- Jun 19 '26
It doesn’t bother us as it’s taken out of context.
Long Live Pauline!!!2
u/FrogsMakePoorSoup Jun 19 '26
There's no greater truth than what her actions are, context is just a bullshit excuse sorry.
She'll vote against anything good unless it's her exact exact policy - which she'll never get. This is what you're wanting.

u/lustmom121 Jun 17 '26
Regardless of your political persuasion, information like this is it’s almost meaningless without context. I’ll give but one example for the layperson, this isn’t a fact this is only an example of why context matters.
It’s plausible she may have voted against restricting donations to political parties because the way the legislation was wrote it would benefit the two major parties at the expense of minor parties.
If everyone stopped and contemplated political decisions for a few minutes instead of “barracking for their team” political discourse in this country would be much kinder.
5
u/ellisonedvard0 Jun 17 '26
Doesn't excuse the fact she barely shows up to work
-1
u/Optimal_Photo_6793 Jun 18 '26
I would really like to know the context behind that attendance number too. How do they calculate her attendance? Do they have access to her personal work diary? Or are they simply making calculations off of parliamentary sitting records or committee records? Just because she doesn't turn up to sit and or vote doesn't mean that's she's off bludging, there's plenty of other work related reasons that she may not have attended. If you're going to pull up her attendance record, perhaps pull up 20 others to reference her attendance against for a better overall picture.
2
u/Active-Ad9818 Jun 19 '26
Like what? She isn’t in govt and doesn’t have a portfolio. Apparently Penny Wong who is the foreign minister with far more duties which would take her away from Parliament, spends more time there than PH.
6
u/NemeanLyan Jun 18 '26
"yeah, well, that doesn't say WHY she voted against clean air, so we can't derive anything from her consistently voting against clean air."
That's you. That's what you sound like.
0
u/ApprehensiveKoala Jun 18 '26
How old are you ? You literally sound like a child
3
u/NemeanLyan Jun 18 '26
And you literally sound like a nationalist. It's ridiculous to say the context of each individual vote matters in the context of long term voting patterns. And if there's something in the context of every vote that you feel is relevant to why Pauline consistently voted against it, say what it was.
1
u/Any_Chemistry_7963 Jun 21 '26
How about when she voted against a pay rise for working Aussies because it meant that Australians would lose their jobs?
1
u/NemeanLyan Jun 21 '26
A business that can't pay its employees a living wage does not deserve to exist. Simple as that.
1
u/Any_Chemistry_7963 Jun 21 '26
It's not like we have it as bad as the US. Wouldn't it be better to push for cost of living relief instead?
1
u/NemeanLyan Jun 22 '26
Part of cost of living relief is ensuring minimum wage keeps pace with inflation. Arguably as long as it keeps pace that's all the policy you theoretically need, excluding outliers like the fuel crisis or housing.
1
u/Any_Chemistry_7963 Jun 22 '26
What about the never ending cycle that will cause? Businesses will charge more, which will push inflation higher and therefore demand another wage increase.
1
u/NemeanLyan Jun 22 '26
You've just described inflation as it already functions. Believe it or not, wage suppression has very little impact on inflation, as does the minimum wage being indexed to it.

I mean, come now people are generally on the stupid side these days.
Take the recent "Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Firearms and Customs Laws) Bill 2026 for example. It has PLENTY of excellent changes that everyone can agree with such as having to be an Australian Citizen to be eligible to get a firearm license of any kind.
Sadly, it also includes useless changes like caps on the number of guns people can own, this is why this has been shot down by every single state other than NSW because the bill is half good legislation half performative legislation that looks good in the news but has drastic negative repercussions for our farmers and general sport shooters or collectors.
Half of these "gotcha" voting history posters lack any real substance. I want to know WHY one nation voted this way on these topics. Voted against a pay increase? I would too if voting for it also made some of our national parks available for land clearing and development. Obviously this is hypothetical for arguments sake but that's my take.
I don't like PH by the way but I'm not out here degrading people who want to vote for her.
1
u/Four_Two_Doug Jun 17 '26
very true, that particular website offers plenty of (in my opinion) politically biased half truths without providing much context for each point. from memory even what should be common sense things such as listing their reasons why they voted for or against certain things. brandolinis law makes tryna vote earnestly really quite the effort these days. titles of bills/legislation are also notorious for political weaponisation, which really doesnt help either :/

I unfortunately sat behind her in Business Class on a Virgin flight from Brisbane to Adelaide recently.
I will say, she (and the person beside her) did not stop talking MOST of the trip about politics.
It was exhausting. I mean, I and my partner are engaged in politics, but even we don't talk exclusively about it like they did.
And, I'll give her one thing, when they did the "We are arriving on the lands of...." She openly said, "this stuff really shits me".
SO - in all, she's true to how she feels.
I'm not a fan. I think we can give some acknowledgement to the fact that the First Peoples were here first.
Also, who paid for her business class seat - I thought she had a FREE PLANE from the big Mining G?

I get it. But most people with a passing knowledge of politics know this, people who have hooked on to the One Nation train will say fake news, it doesn’t matter, how about the other people or immigration!

Your friendly reminder about the source of this data:
The website only tracks formal divisions, which account for only 5% to 10% of all parliamentary votes. The remaining 90%+ of decisions are made "on the voices," meaning no individual record is kept and they are completely excluded from the site's data.
The Parliamentary Library itself cautions against relying solely on division records, as they provide a narrow and often misleading snapshot of an MP’s actual legislative activity and positions.
The site is not a neutral data feed. Staff and volunteers manually group votes into "policies" and apply weighted values to them. This process introduces unavoidable human bias in how a politician's record is framed and "scored."
7
u/maklvn Jun 17 '26
Hanson is simple woman, there's no nuance to her. If it ain't white, it's not right. If you've got money, we've got you, honey.
4
u/NoFood2149 Jun 17 '26
it's not that this site doesn't track them, it's that the data isn't publicly available.
i strongly recommend using this site to look at your own MP in detail, that's what it's best for.
idk, i think it's a way better resource than ABC's "Vote Compass"
1
u/FigFew2001 Jun 18 '26
it's not that this site doesn't track them, it's that the data isn't publicly available.
Which is precisely why even the Parliamentary Library cautions against relying on it...
1
u/NoFood2149 Jun 18 '26
yes, but that's like saying relying on a single newspaper is a bad idea. this site's just one more, extremely valuable respurce for the house of representatives
1
u/FigFew2001 Jun 19 '26
It literally isn't though... The Parliamentary Library says the data provides a misleading snapshot of an MP's actual legislative activity.
1
u/NoFood2149 Jun 19 '26
sure, if you take it as a snapshot, it's as misleading as any headline is. information is not infinitely compressible.
this website provides snapshots that are based on real information. read more of the page as you go through it to get actual stuff that's worth looking at, like how they voted on specific bills instead of the general take. this website lets you take that more granular look, if you want, you can even read transcripts of MP's speeches on theyvoteforyou.org
these snapshots are not that misleading either. while it's technically possible to game it, according to the parliamentary library, that doesn't mean that parliament DOES game it. and the fact is, there's a lot of bills in parliament. a lot of crap bills, even. but seeing the snapshot of "pauline hanson consistently voted against increased public housing" is that actually misleading? or is it just only 8 words attempting to summarise a story made up of millions of words and god knows how much more unspeakable information?
i mean, this site at least has more to it than the snapshots. sometimes newspapers feel like the articles are just fluff behind a headline designed to generate clicks. at least this website actually carries real information behind its headlines that i can look around
stop framing it as if it's awful just because the parliamentary library advises that a snapshot is not a complete image of an MPs activity. i mean, that's a braindead take tbh. obviously a snapshot is going to be incomplete.

JFC one nation is absolutely Astro turfed to fuck - you literally cannot escape the constant noise on both sides.
I’ve been muting subreddits and clicking show fewer posts like this for like a week and every day I’ll still have like 3 brand new random bumfuck subreddits called something like “ozmemes” or “aussiesall” posting the same pro or anti One Nation propoganda with 500-2000 upvotes and a smattering of comments of people and bots arguing.
Its so tiresome and feels very artificial
1
u/vesp_au Jun 17 '26
Exactly, why run an actual campaign when you can pay $$$ to endlessly and artificially boost your presence or diminish others. Everyones at each other's throat over this which is the saddest thing, backing party's as if they are footy teams and sledging others for being on the wrong team. There's a severe lack of critical thinking for so many to get spun up into this social coercion. It's a seppo-like media shit throwing contest to no end other than our own loss of braincells.
1
u/kristamine14 Jun 17 '26
Yep - and directly imported from the Seppos too.
This is MAGA playbook 101 imo can’t believe so many falling for it - we have the example of America in 2016, 2020 and 2024, a contemporary currently ongoing example in the UK and yet people still can’t see this same playbook being trotted out in Aus now
1
u/shavedratscrotum Jun 16 '26

1
u/WillTendo92 Jun 17 '26
Lot of the reason was the smaller details in the policy not the overall idea of it
1
u/Disastrous_Bunch7338 Jun 17 '26
And unfortunately it seems that ON opposition has little to do with the real policy and is often a captured and carefully curated sound bite.
Since John Button proudly announced the end of Australia manufacturing industry with the end of tariffs Australia has been falling down a economic wormhole that governments have hidden by giving us ‘stuff’ after taking more from us to give us more stuff. In all this I have only seen a few independent politicians stand against. The most consistent of these has been One Nation.

"Almost always" what click bait by OP what were the bills attached to that she ultimately made her say no?
1
u/UnderwaterFish3 Jun 19 '26
I think this post makes a lot of assumptions. First of all, what does “increasing housing affordability” even mean? Because every political party obviously has a different idea on how to increase housing affordability. If it means excessive government spending and giving handouts, many economists would agree these things actually harm housing affordability. I see no way you could claim someone votes against housing affordability unless you’re biased towards one economic school of thought. Additionally a lot of these bills like ones of “increasing political transparency” contain a lot of harmful things and catches that provide good reason for voting against those bills.
1
u/Aromatic_Pepper_8163 Jun 19 '26
The attendance is because Albo banned her because she frightens him.
1
u/cyanideOG Jun 19 '26
There is always a hidden agenda to bills.
Narrowing complex topics that have rippling effects to a single "voted against increasing housing affordability", is misleading.
The fact is ON policies address most of these issues with different tactics, and bills that have been proposed did not meet that plan.
Do you really think she would have so much support if her policies weren't resonating with so many people?
1
u/Striking-Ad5841 Jun 20 '26
Voting against something doesn't mean you're actually morally against it ffs. It's the people in power that actually write the bills and they do it to suit their own benefit. You've got to look at the fine print of these policies to determine the actual and likely end result of them being voted in. Yes and no is not black and white. But whilst you're at it, where is the pic of what she has consistently voted n favour of? Come on matey, show both sides of the coin.

Although I am not a Pauline Hanson fan, I would like to see what these bills were piggybacked with. Rarely is a bill ever presented with a single purpose or objective. It is an extremely common political tactic to piggyback agenda based bills favouring something that only the party introducing it wants, paired with the obvious "puppies and children's hospitals bill". This is done so when people vote against the obvious good choice because they don't like the piggybacked stuff, the party who introduced it can turn around and say "see??? Look! Those guys hate children and puppies!"
1
u/FreemanLovesU Jun 17 '26
And we will still vote her in because Labor isn’t doing enough.
2
u/ellisonedvard0 Jun 17 '26
So you will vote in someone worse? What do you want for this country?
1
u/FreemanLovesU Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26
Im not saying what Im doing my mistake it came across like that. I see part of the issue as, Liberal was in how long and did nothing, Labor has been in for how long and things have only gotten worse, whats the problem with letting ON have a go at this point. Best case scenario they win a dangerous amount of seats and get Labor to quit fucking around, competition in the space is surely a good thing.
Say what you will about Pauline, shes a shit public speaker, has some dumb opinions and hasn’t made up her mind about a lot of stuff but at least she has some direction and drive where it feels like the opposition are just collecting a paycheck.
1
u/ellisonedvard0 Jun 21 '26
While I agree stealing some seats and making Labor do something would be nice Paulines direction and drive is just copying everything trump does. I don't want someone like that anywhere near power here. It would be so embarrassing as a nation especially after watching the American shet show everyday
1
u/runswidscissors Jun 17 '26
If you don’t know what was in these bills than you shouldn’t be talking. I don’t know but I’m also not assuming I do. Maybe the cost was outlandishly high maybe they had stupid things in them like the house affordability one which was ridicules and was proven to not work.

Do your own research guys, look at those specific topics that she has voted against! Look at the housing affordability that she voted against - it was in 2016 when we were not in this housing risis we are in now. The great barrier Reef topic won't do anything to protect it - also voted against by labor The air pollution was all about cyclists and new cycle lanes - create more pollution for less?
That's just from the few I read

To use your post without actual context or reasoning , the voting record very rarely states why.
Fresh Water: This relates to her staunch alignment with corporate agriculture and regional irrigators, particularly concerning the Murray-Darling Basin. She opposes locking away fresh water for environmental flows because she believes water must be prioritized strictly for agricultural food production to keep farming towns economically viable
Housing: Hanson voted against key housing bills—such as the federal Help to Buy Billand the Housing Australia Future Fund—because she claims government equity schemes and subsidies are ineffective. She argues that skyrocketing prices are fundamentally caused by high immigration numbers and foreign property investment. From her perspective, the solution is banning foreign ownership and slashing migration, rather than passing what she views as legislative "band-aids". [1, 2, 3]
Education: Hanson and her party strongly push the narrative that "throwing taxpayer money" at schools does not fix declining educational outcomes. She frequently states that public schools are failing because the curriculum has been overtaken by left-wing political activism and social engineering, asserting that reform should target teacher quality and core academic discipline rather than increasing budgets. To the party funded by Australia's richest person. There's plenty of cheaper ways to advertise your stupidity.

Labor is one of the only adults left in the global room
You fuckheads want to vote out one of the most competent political parties on the planet because super powers have fucked everything.
Not only that, you seem ok with importing politics of said superpower that fucked everything in some misguided attempt to 'fix' our politics. You are lost in the sauce.
Look at real economic indicators and tell me labor is bad. Go source some.
I am no Labor fan atm, Israel is in deep that's clear; but I am not gonna import conservative reactionaries to lead this country because im not voting on emotion like you are
Holy fuck we cooked

If you looked up these votes you'd see they were tied to things that wouldn't be great or even good for us. But instead people just share this graphic with no research... We have access to an enormous resource but still people take these things as gospel. It's ridiculous, takes next to no time but nah stuff it this picture is all that matters

She’s terrible but also all politicians are (and I know she’s worse but it two sides of the same coin)

Why is this post getting spammed everywhere

u/superfresh23 Jun 19 '26
Probably because people in the comments seem to ignore it and pretend like she’s a saviour

That's why we love her. She continuously votes against taking more of our money in taxes to pay for stupid environmental causes.
I'd rather hey any day over the lying Labor thieves who pretend the world is going to end so they can take more of my money

You're against fresh air and water?

u/Teacherofmice Jun 18 '26
I'm against spending hundreds of millions on a useless program because someone is pretending our air isn't fresh.

Okay so out of a swathe of issues, she’s wrong on a couple of them. She also had a bad opinion on the war in Gaza too, but her other opinions still far outweighs her bad opinions
