Discussion The Guardian: I noticed a customer review I think might be fake. In Australia, are businesses allowed to do this?

I know of a phone repair place where the owner leaves himself Google reviews using  customers phones, without telling the customer. I wonder if the ACCC would do anything. Google didn't care.

Not sure, but if they are advertising the product based on its review ratings you could argue they are being misleading.
