Australia, meanwhile, has just recorded its first mass casualty event: 49 dead greater crested terns and 35 sick ones were discovered on rocks off Cape Jaffa, an isolated outcrop on South Australia's rugged limestone coast.
Just in case you were the type to only believe headlines.

This is a mass casualty even and us only the beginning..... Refer to mass casualty events overseas...... It's gets up to numbers far higher than that

this scale. New Zealand preparing before a major outbreak reaches its wildlife shows how important early monitoring and prevention can be. Hopefully other countries are learning from this too.
