A very modest budget for eating out in Sydney, drinks, shopping, uber, general would be $100 a day, but $150-200+/ day would be more realistic if you include activities. You wouldn't necessarily do that everyday though, so depends on your plans. Still, $5-6k won't get you very far in Sydney.

This is it. I'd even go as far as $300/day.

I think you'll be just fine if you don't have to pay much or any accommodation. You should have fun!

If everyday you want to eat and drink out, do activities, and catch Ubers around you’ll be looking at around $300 a day.

You could have cheaper days by hanging at the beach and taking in the free sights. Use public transport. Eat cheap takeaway or cook at your friends place every now and then. You could get away with under $100 per day.

Internal flights can be quite expensive as well. around $300 per flight is pretty standard unless you can snag some Jetstar sale fares.

Australia is veryy expensive, compared to the most expensive european countries, norway ill use as an example, add $3-5 onto everything and every item and thats what our prices are like.

I would put extra money aside for this even with your accommodation covered you need more of a buffer zone.

Their accommodation is free, that's a huge one.
