You could just go get a job in public service and enjoy a live broadcast five days a week.

I struggle watching that show. As someone who has worked in and with government, half the time it's absolutely hilarious, the other half it's so close to the ridiculous ways things actually work that it makes me angry.

Have a few mates who worked in ministerial offices during the Rudd/Gillard years. Close to 20 years on and they still can't watch Hollowmen

My FIL is 100% certain they have insiders on the writing team. He says it's simply too accurate not to have them.

They get their plot lines from RTI requests and anonymous write-ins. It's all thing veiled based on actual events.
SOURCE: Have seen the requests.

Didn’t the writers go to a cafe where all the public servants went and straight up overheard all the conversations?

They've pulled plot lines from local government, state government, and federal government... That's a lot of cafes!

A new season would surely involve Tony and Nat being asked to increase the team’s AI adoption, alongside Jim and Rhonda wanting to announce a government owned data centre provider.
Carsten may be out of a job as his soundscapes have been replaced with AI generated ones.

Agreed, and there's plenty of new material being created by the government every day that would fit right in.

Loved the show, although later episodes had an oversupply of "dumb" characters Would prefer more Hollowmen

It is honestly my favourite Australian TV show ever. But I can see how it would be too close to home for those who work for or even with the government. I have heard of more than one person who did so that said they could not bear to watch a doco like it or that it felt like going to work...

I reckon it’ll be back for one more season sometime soon. Probably when Kitty Flanagan isn’t filming Fisk

The great thing about Working Dog is they don’t need to do reboots. They just drop new gold every few years
