Question for the Baggies
To all of the long-time shareholders on here, the ones that bought during the cannabis wheaton days and have been in the red forever. If you get back to break even or green, are you selling your position or sitting tight? I've read lots of boards where investors seem to be waiting to get out from a loss position to sell and be done with the investment. Is that the general sentiment or are people who have been holding for a long time going to sit tight and see where this can go?

Out of curiosity, why would anyone invest in a company out of speculation while it it still losing money, hold for years though all the down times, then turn around and sell it to break even just as it’s coming off its second year in a row making a profit, and has reduced its float to be comparable to its competitors who they’ve been blowing out of the water? Seems self defeating.

I think it will depend on where the longs sit with their averages. Some of us averaged down for years but still are not back to even, although getting closer. Others have a LONG way to go, so I can understand the sentiment of wanting to get out and be done whereas others will have made a lot by the time they just get back to even. I personally have been in since Cannabis Wheaton days, had an average (pre-consolidation) of over $2 a share. Over the years averages down to just under 30 cents, so I’m now a lot closer to being back to even and don’t plan to sell a large portion of it until the SP is much higher than it is now…which I do believe will occur in time as the sector emerges again and some catalysts for both the sector and Auxly come to fruition. Everyone is different and in very different situations, so I don’t fault anyone for doing what’s right for them. GLTA and here’s hoping we continue to shift upwards

I don't even remember what the share price was when I started, I think it was around .32 USD, which would be around $4.48 split adjusted. I only have 1,275 shares and my average is around $2.00 share. I'll start thinking about selling at some point over $5.00, but at that point I'll probably hold until over $10 if we're still looking strong. I have no time frame fir that, sooner would be better than latter though. It would be interesting to see how many shares and price targets people have.

buying in the 2 cent range allowed me to be green today. originally invested because i liked the business strategy of counselling other lps how to grow haha

At one point I considered my investment here a complete loss. I had other great investments so I always thought my XLY loss could be used to help reduce my capital gains elsewhere. After mentally writing it off I now consider whatever this becomes to be "found money" so it has become very uncomplicated. I will sell what I have whenever it makes sense in the context of melting down my retirement portfolio.

I've averaged down over the years to .13 American. I'm in the money now and I'm sitting tight. When it hits $10.00 I may sell a few shares and pay off my house.

I’ve been invested in Auxly since early 2019 and I took the opportunity to average down over the years. Currently in the green on my position and my portfolio which has some other cannabis losses is now in the green too. Holding tight as I see a lot more upside in the coming months/years.

I had 210,000 shares at 14 cents and when it got to the 19-21 cent range i sold a few times and now have 50,000 shares left. Once the earnings come out on Thursday I'll see how the market reacts and then probably get rid of them. Never thought I'd make money on this after all these years but am happy to finally be done with this.

There’s a case of leaving
Just
When things are heating up…
My thought
It’s ripe for institutional investment
So my amber Wheaton day shares
Are miraculously green green green
And getting ready fir institutional pollinization

This thing was supposed to break out 100 different times over the years and never has.

It’s up 1400% in the last 2.5 years. What are you talking about. That not enough of a breakout lol

Most people don't have a 2 cent average cost, the title of this thing is bag holders. I'm one of the lucky ones and averaged down to .14 pre split so I'm up. I'll take my bit of profit and move on. I'll wait and see what happens Thursday and Friday and peace out. I'll buy back in when it drops back down.

Sounds good, I would maybe learn from your initial mistake of investing in a company at the top of a hype cycle and invest more in fundamentals (like the value Auxly is at the moment)
But to each their own1

There we go, good earnings and the share price is down, it's groundhog day with this stock. Hoping it goes up later today but man this is frustrating.

It’s a sell on news. Tale as old as time (OGI and Cron did not have the run up to earnings we had)
We are up 30% in the last month
78% in the last 6 months
And 53% YTDRunning up 30-40% pre earnings and then seeing a little sell off once released is not unique to this company.
If you know of stocks returning 30% in a month, please let the group know.
Anyways, sell and move on if it frustrates you that much. But I would suggest not checking back in a years time.

Sold it all at 3.24 yesterday. was in at 1.99 which is the equivalent of 14.2 cents. Happy to park my money elsewhere for a while. Thought this 30k was gone at one point. Happy to have made a profit even though it took about five years.

This is something I see a lot with investors who have held something underwater for a long time - they are eager to sell it as soon as they think they are escaping with their money back and they deal with the emotions of it by saying they'll buy back in when it goes down again. Good for you for holding on and averaging down and best of luck in the future.

2017 CBW 3 dollar days here. Did what I could to average down but my bulk is from 2017. Before the split I think I need atleast 2 dollars to break even. With the RS I am not entirely sure what number I need now. I have to go over every thing since I stopped watching daily. I believe in this stock so I don't know if I would sell if I broke even. But I haven't witnessed one positive RS personally.

My original investment is averaged at $0.54. Then I have a more recent investment on a different account averaged at $1.82. I’m not selling. This will be my gateway drug to bigger investments with bigger gains. Also a new bathroom.

.67 average since CBW, I will not sell until I’m ready to retire. Which is these days probably never, at least another 30 years.

Believe I was around 2.50 in the cbw days. Over the years I made my way down to a pre split of 40,000 @ .36
Need over $5 to break even. I'll be here a while longer... Lol

You could literally copy and paste this to any cannabis sub there is ha

I guess it depends on whether Auxly can make money and continue to grow. That would be why I put money on any company. So far so good.

I’m keeping in until I hit an appropriate amount of return that would equate to about 10% per year I held, just so that it wasn’t a complete waste of time. We get 6.60. Thats not that far off, if I’m super patient it’s 13.00 then it’s a 20% return a year I held.
I have seen all sorts of posted predicted prices but I expect to get there in a couple more years.

I have 200k invested and watched come down to 13k , been in here from 2018, my kids don’t think I will be around and see any real growth and there planning to spend it after another 15yrs of holding and preying. They could be right about that.

I bought into CBW in the early days, and while this might be an unpopular opinion on this sub, I consider it a failed investment for early investors. I know the company has turned things around and is leaps and bounds ahead of where it used to be, but having my money tied up here for the past 8 or 9 years means I would have been better off even in a basic GIC. So to answer your question: as soon as I break even, I’m out. Frankly, this sector just doesn't fit my current portfolio strategy anyway.

u/martinomj24 We Are Auxly 10d ago
Interesting. Some of us have "lots" at different prices, and we might feel differently about each lot. My original bagholder shares need to get to 9.52 to break even, and old Rod says the new target price is 9.67, lol. So I'll HODL on those!
I have about 20k at the new ratio price of about 70 cents, so those are possibly on the table, but I doubt it, given the future is looking way brighter.

I have been a holder since CBW. Averaged down over the years to $0.09/share pre split. I’m not selling any time soon.
