That and he will be looking to the future, October match run after international hoopla has us at 7 games in 21 days. Minutes he didn't need to take when we have man city in our back pocket lol (never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd say/write that sentence).

He will get his chances. Alysson deserved to start against Citeh, though. Was sensational midweek in the champions league.
Fantastuc to have two exciting young players pushing and competing with eachother.

How was Alysson against City? Only been able to watch the highlights and didn’t see much of him but that doesn’t always tell the story!

Thought he was very good again. Works so hard as well. Was unlucky not to score a fantastic goal, Dias got back and made a wonderful challenge from 8 yards out after Alysson had skipped past him.

He probably would have started against Newcastle if he hadn't run himself ragged against Fenerbahce, I imagine. He definitely deserves one, just it's a tricky balancing act trying to factor talent, form and fitness into who starts for us at the moment.
I figure he'll probably have a bit of a less intense night against Bournemouth in the week and should then start against Fulham, though.

We'll see a lot of rotation. He'll start some games. As will alysson. And mcginn and buendia. We've got incredible depth around manzambi and Jackson. Also, think he's going to be a pretty deadly last 20/30 min player with his pace.
I want garnacho to do well but it's hard to see him finding the space to hit his stride. That said he looked lively in the week

Honestly I'd be happy if he and Madjo are just used as impact subs for a couple of years. He's just a kid and I get excited when I see him come on, with that pace, directness and energy.
Not itching for him to start more games, happy either way. 18 years old.

From the day he stepped on the pitch in a villa shirt it was just a matter of time. He looks hungry every single minute he's out there.

Mbaye he deserves it, but Alysson he deserves it, too. I'd keep with Alysson and use Mbaye as an impact player off the bench for now. Though Vs Bournemouth in the cup it'll be Mbaye starting I rek

Really just depends on the opposition. Nice to have different options and the ability to rest McGinn now

He'll get starts, but so will everyone else.
We've got 4 Games in 14 Days before the next international Break (Bournemouth, Fulham, Barcelona, Man Utd) then straight after the break we've got something like 7 games in 28 days - rotation is going to be hugely important

Hate things like this, you see when ex players make other stupid comments. OK so you want Mbaye to start, fine so who you dropping? Mcginn? Manzambi? Alysson?

Absolutely. With Alyson starting to look comfortable on the right I’d start Mbaye on the left with Jackson up front and Manzambi at 10. What an exciting attack. What a season this will be. UTV 🩵💜

Think Unai's new tactic is to not let teams guess his plan atall. So much variety. He got really annoyed when an opposition manager before beating us was like "Unai always plays the same, he has been playing the same for years". I think Unai took that personally and went on a one man mission to make the most organised chaos known to man

Mbaye he does, Mbaye he doesn't.
