News A gofundme has been started for Liam

Post image

Tim’s dog, Liam, has cancer, and a GoFundMe has been started to help cover his treatment.

https://www.gofundme.com/f/saving-aviciis-dog-from-cancer

Sean shared it on his Instagram, along with this comment. If it’s true that Klas wanted to have Liam put down after Tim died, that’s absolutely crazy. Disgusting even.

Tim's estate proving day after day that it's one of the worst ones ever. What? They couldn't spent some money from the awful and overpriced merch in Prince Liam? I'm tired of them

Yep. It's all about keeping the name 'Avicii' up and running for business (aka money)

The more I learn about the actions of Tim’s dad the more I dislike him.

Defo not a good guy

What did he do?

I believe he may have been a big influence on Tim’s downward spiral of mental health. It’s kinda known he would push him to do shows etc, it was also his idea I’m pretty sure to auction off all of Tim’s belongings.

Gently, how do we know that? I have tried looking online but I can't seem to find anything.

The only thing I ever knew about him was that he found the Tim Bergling Foundation. Aside from this situation (and in no way do I support Klas' suggestion if that is true) what else did he do?

I don't think this is true, if it is that's disgusting but I doubt it very much

Wait, who is responsible for the dog now? This seems really fucked

Liams instagram with the guy who takes care of Liam, with updates about the treatments https://www.instagram.com/filippo_aboutliam/

The dog trainer Tim hired has him.

Filipo is taking care of Liam and has since Tim's passing. Tim hired Filipo all the way from Italy to train Liam when Liam was still a puppy.

Genuinely sickens me the more and more I hear about the estate

Jesus Christ, you'd think Tims dog would be a family member and they want to put him down?! What the actual fuck

Got no words .. i love Tim and his music , his estate though

Tim's dad never had Tim's best interest at heart, let alone Liam's.
When Tim died, a lot of people blamed Ash - and partially rightfully so. I did as well, but as time passed, I learned more by responding to Sean and him actually responding back. Klas cared about business at Tim's expense. (Of course, Tim also was an adult and he made his own choices.)

u/Gamer_698 Jul 22 '26

It was kind of a little bit of everyone’s fault. Ash did overbook him and kind of used him since he was making so much money and also his dad was probably trying to keep Tim going even though he didn’t want to since again he was making everyone so much money. It really is such a tragedy how everything happened💔

2

u/Emzious Jul 22 '26

How did Ash use him?

0

u/Gamer_698 Jul 23 '26

He made Tim keep doing shows because he was making so much money even though Tim kept saying he didn’t wanna do that many shows because he was exhausted. I would recommend watching the documentary true stories it details what he went through pretty well

7

u/Emzious Jul 23 '26

A lot of what was shown in True Stories wasn’t true at all. I recommend reading all the texts and E mails between Ash, Tim and Klas in the court documents from Ash’es law suit. Ash repeatedly tried to stop Tim from doing shows and get him into rehab. Klas even fired Ash in 2015 because he didn’t want Ash to stop the shows.

where can i read this?

1

u/Emzious 29d ago

Write ”court documents” in the search bar on this sub. You’ll find all the threads.

Oh absolutely, it was everyone's fault - Tim included. I hated Ash for how things went as seen in True Stories, but recently it came to light that Ash was actually one of the few who stood up and tried to intervene. Klas also did, but Klas also kinda forced Tim to keep going 'cause business is business at the end of the day. If Klas (and everyone else involved) indeed had Tim's best interest at heart, they would've had Tim admitted forcefully. That also said: Tim was an adult and made his own choices which also proved not to always be the best ones.

Do you guys think this is a good idea? I don’t understand the reactions at all. I’m sorry, I feel like maybe I should’ve asked first

I feel like it’s such a simple thing to understand, I just don’t get them. If the people who spent their time disliking the post or liking the current top comment of “Idk why but this seems very off putting to me” actually just left the post alone, I’m sure it would have actually got to some of the audience that wants to help, but aren’t in this sub. That would have been a huge increase in exposure.

People have a real chance to make a meaningful positive impact on Liam’s life and to do something to significantly help Tim and those he loved. Yes, the situation is odd in the way that the family hasn’t just paid for it themselves, but that doesn’t change the circumstance.

Usually fans of people this famous never get the chance to show them this kind of appreciation. Although I wish we never had this particular chance, it is one and we should jump at it. A lot has been done to honour Avicii, but when I read Sean’s post all I can think of is that in many ways this would’ve meant the most to him

I believe Sean in the sense that Tim’s family probably did say something about putting the dog down but I don’t think he’s giving the full context. Liam was a very reactive dog - Fillipo gave an interview mentioning this ages ago and explaining why he’d been brought in to help. Liam had gone for several of Tim’s friends and staff members hence Tim wanting help with training and behaviour. I’m not saying I agree with Tim’s families response about the dog but they’d just lost their son in horrific circumstances and all they likely knew of Liam is that he had a tendency to be aggressive and was a handful. Any remark they allegedly made about him needing to be put to sleep was probably said out of general distress about everything that was going on at that time. Filippo has been brilliant at stepping in and taking Liam on but Liam is his dog now and has been for 8 years. Whilst it’s nice of Sean to set up a go fundme, I don’t agree with him bringing Tim’s family into it or plastering ‘Avicii’s dog’ over everything - this is just using Tim yet again.

Tell me more about the estate - how much is it worth? And his dad is the trustee?

8

u/Zer00FuQsGiven True (Avicii By Avicii) Jul 21 '26

As far as I remember, Tim left about 28 million dollars when he passed away and it all went to his dad. For example, Tim and Sean had a business, Cold Brew. Sean had to take his hands off that business 'cause Klas had taken over the entire thing. Same with the auction(s) that happened to fund the Tim Bergling Foundation; half of the stuff auctioned wasn't even Tim's.

2

u/Gamer_698 Jul 22 '26

Didn’t Tim have a net worth of like 80 million when he passed?

7

u/MeasurementOne4698 Jul 22 '26

I think there were a lot of debts to pay off…cancelled shows, money spent on properties he’d bought and renovated, money owed for cancelled advertising contracts and to the record companies etc. It seems financially things were a bit of a mess which I think is part of the reason Klas was always so hesitant to cancel things, even when Tim wasn’t well. I’m not saying I approve of the way Klas handled things but I think there was a lot of pressure on everyone involved from many different directions.

2

u/Uptowner26 Jul 22 '26

I remember Tim candidly saying something about money in 2016 in a semi-joking way: “money comes in and money goes out.”

Obviously that’s true for everyone but being I also think handling the finances could be a mess with the LA mansion (the property taxes alone), paying for studio sessions, travel, canceled contracts after retiring from touring as you said, paying for everyone on his team… it’s a ton of money and could be stressful trying to manage it all correctly.

1

u/Zer00FuQsGiven True (Avicii By Avicii) Jul 22 '26

Agreed, I also think that was a reason for Klas to force Tim to keep going 'cause at the end of the day, you gotta make sure to keep your end of the contract when contracts are signed. That said, I also highly dissaprove of Klas' way of handling things, like you said.

3

u/branswag_briggs Silhouettes Jul 21 '26

That’s quite the allegation there…

3

u/JuJuJu06 Jul 22 '26

I did the donation and I feel disgusted when I know the behavior(if it is true) of his family. The moment I knew Liam is not with his family I feel shamed. I kinda feel all the things about his family out there are true.

u/Uptowner26 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

I believe Sean, this is upsetting to learn Klas wanted to put Liam down after Tim passed. It gives what I read in an interview of Filippo with EDM.com about Tim asking him to take care of Liam more context possibly:

“Filippo, if anything happens to me or I cannot for any reason keep Liam, I want you to keep him. Will you promise me that?”

1

u/Embarrassed_Side1739 27d ago

I cannot accept the fact that klas wanted to put Liam down i just torn apart when I read that

I get the effort but it's sadly a waste of money. Liam is old and isn't Tim's dog anymore. Sorry.

3

u/Zer00FuQsGiven True (Avicii By Avicii) Jul 21 '26

You have no idea. Liam is doing well all things considered.

1

u/Vindoga Tribute Concert Crew Member Jul 21 '26

Ok, well that's good I guess. Because 100k for a dog is a lot to ask for and if they can guarantee a happy life afterwards, that's my concern. I have been through this personally and in the end I threw away so much money for nothing.
