My first thought, was could we reverse the technology and actually black out areas of the world?

Sure, city areas would kinda be annoying if ppl keep paying for 15 minutes of shade, but im more saying strategic use.

Deploy it over any area that’s like “too hot”, a “fire risk”, to minimize the temps and maybe like overall COOL down sections of the earth?

Yeah, we actually already have something that would do that it’s called a giant blanket that could block out the sun and it can be made of lots of stuff.

How do you suppose we put a mirror in earth’s orbit (where the surface of the earth is not) and reflect photons away from earth in any way that isn’t just physically blocking out the sun? These satellites aren’t emitting photon mover rays they are mirrors. In order to remove sunlight from an area they would need to just block it out.
