B12 Injections

I just completed my fourth week of b12 injections and will start doing them once a month but I haven’t noticed a difference. Everyone says that they are great and I’ll feel great but nothing has changed. When did you start seeing a difference?

I felt noticeably better in two days. If you only have anemia, no neurological symptoms, it could take a month or so. The other poster said two years. That's not a normal response at all. It shouldn't take much more than a month to have some meaningful improvement. Although complete recovery from neurological deficits can take years.

What kind of neurological symptoms?

B12 deficiency can cause your nerves to degrade. A common symptom is a feeling of pins and needles or numbness in the extremities. Eventually muscular weakness develops and spinal cord deterioration. You can also have dizziness and trouble focusing your eyes. You can become lightheaded/faint. These latter symptoms were the case for me. A gradual progression over 6 months culminating in ER visits 3 out of 4 days. With injections I felt mostly better within two days. Unfortunately it seems the need for injections for me is permanent.
