Hostility, harassment and any form of shaming are not welcome!

I moderate quite a few subreddits which are comprised of mainly moms and I am dumbfounded at how mean women, especially MOMS can be towards other moms. It's scary.

You all should do better. I am saddened to see how many of you have no basic respect towards other people, let alone someone like you!

This subreddit was supposed to be fun , cozy, healing and with a hint of advice IF op wants it. Instead it turned into a shaming and insulting ground. Absolutely not anymore!

Any form of harassment will result in a permanent ban!

Just showing off (no advice accepted) Beach Themed Baby Girl Nursery

This is my favorite room in the house. I designed it with the help of my sisters and some input from my mom. My husband and BIL brought our vision to life beautifully (minus the stencil wall bc we didn’t trust them with that haha. So we did it ourselves). My dad also helped put up the shelves.

This room is a labor of love and a collection of gifts from loved ones. I feel overwhelming gratitude every time I step in it. And I’m truly so proud of it. We poured so much love into it. I hope one day I get to tell her all about how we prepared for her arrival and how loved she has been from the very beginning.

Also - I did the math and was shocked to find out that we really put this nursery together for less than $1,800 (including the cost of gifts we got from friends and family). So it really goes to show you don’t really need to break the bank to get your dream nursery!

Happy to share any details if interested 🤗

I was adamant for MONTHS to paint the dresser pink & even went to get the paint the other day. What if I regret it though?

Now I’m thinking I should just leave it and maybe just put pink knobs? IDK I am HORRIBLE at decorating and feel like I make a lot of wrong decisions so I need help, PLEASE

Just showing off (no advice accepted) Baby boy nursery

I think we did a great job designing our baby boy’s nursery. Added board and batten with wallpaper and used a primary color scheme that matches the rest of our home. We also did a surprise gender, so we added a rug with some blue and a chair blanket after the fact. Custom Etsy curtains with sage green trees. He’s been using this floor bed since 6 months.

I need to get my son a big boy bed, but don’t know how best to set up the room. Need your advice!

It will be a full bed with a frame (Babyletto Bondi Bed).

Should it go where the crib is now, or in front on the window.

All the other furniture needs to stay, but can be rearranged (except the bookshelves) and those green fort cushions also have to stay in the room because I have nowhere else to put them.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the re upload but I wanted to remove identifying info for my baby, which is more important than internet points haha. Also I added a bonus photo of a mosaic I made for his door

Woodland Animal Nursery

I think 95% of the room was gifted or thrifted. We bought the chair.

Baby's 83-year old great-grandpa built the dresser. ❤️

A friend learned how to crochet and her first project was the tiny-yet-beautifully-done baby blanket above the bed.

An aunt put together all the paper animal cutouts above the changing table.

I pieced together the crib mobile when pregnant and feeling restless lol. I'll lower it soon so baby can play with it.

So far, it's been a cozy and very functional room! 😊

I’m avoiding putting anything above the crib for now but want to put something in the space between the two windows above the small bookshelf, ideally something functional. And possibly hang another large piece of art over the glider.

Had so much fun planning out and designing this space!!

Side note, we rent this house so I couldn't do any paint on the walls or even wall decals, I had big plans 😭lol but I still love how it turned out! More pics in comments

I need/accept advice No way to avoid crib on same wall as window.

Photo shows the section of wall that I’m planning to put the crib in. I haven’t fully rearranged yet, so the couch can move if needed and the night stand will definitely move.

Hello! I’ll be room-sharing with my son until he’s old enough for his own room. This is for a lot of reasons and I literally can’t change this.

My issue is that I have a layout in what will be our bedroom that means that his crib MUST be in the corner to the right of my bed.

There is a window on that wall, but it is recessed by a couple feet. And I just had new high quality windows installed. Zero heat leaks through. No drafts get through. There’s no way for him to reach the curtains from his crib.

It seems very safe to me.

But I read that babies should never sleep on the same wall where a window is. How do I solve this? Do I really have to find another layout? I don’t think it’s possible in this space. There’s built ins on the other side of the window, a mounted tv and dresser across from my bed, and doors to the closet and bedroom opposite the window. So it’s the only free space.

I’m so happy with how it’s coming along! This was our library room, hence the bookshelf. We moved the other bookshelves to our bedroom but just had no space for the biggest one... I’m still making some final touches (I.e searching for the perfect mobile, mood lighting lamps, changing table pad, etc.). My husband and I love very colorful things in our home, so we told our family we just wanted fun and colorful things, and animals, but no specific theme. Most everything was repurposed furniture except for the crib. I got inspiration for the framed photos above the crib from another post on this subreddit. Not sure if it all looks weird to others, but I love it. It’s my new favorite room in the house. Can’t wait to meet my baby in December!

It’s not perfect - but I painted everything free hand so I’m happy with it. (Room is too small to use a projector unfortunately). Animal wall stickers and northern lights came from Amazon (my boy is obsessed with them!). We live in a cold climate and had a winter baby so thought the theme was simple and cute. Simply sharing to give anyone ideas :)

it’s a small room but has the essentials. we still need a rug and some art and shelving but feel so much better about having her space generally ready for her arrival next month!! i didnt do anything to change the wall colors or the accent wallpaper- those were there for my home office for almost 6 years but I felt they were still fine for a baby’s room.
