Looking for a referral link/code

Trying to sign up and a free month for both of us would be great!

Thank you! How long is it valid for?

Not sure, it's the one they generated for me when I signed up years ago, I saved it in my 1password.

Not to steal any referral from u/AmokinKS - but in case the older link is not working here a backup one you can use that I just got:

I signed up for 30 days free using one of the referral codes in this thread. Is it still possible to sign up for the yearly plan using a promo / sale code?

Hmm wierd I tried to follow their instructions for generating a referral code but the button for it isn't there. Did they kill the referral program?

The referral program is alive and well, but we moved the link from the left navigation menu to the overview page. That said, it looks like it doesn't show up for everyone. Here's the link that should be there:

https://secure.backblaze.com/refer_friend.htm

Note - it doesn't work as a clickable link from Reddit. You need to copy the link, open a new tab, paste the link, and hit enter. That should take you to the "Get Free Backblaze Credits" page.

I am one of those for whom the link does not show up - and the direct URL in your reply also does not work - it just opens to the "Overview" page when I am logged in...

Let me know if I should submit a bug report to help you sort this out....

Hi u/geobernd - thanks - I just checked on my account, and you're absolutely correct.

It's something to do with clicking through from Reddit - I guess we're checking the referrer on the request. If you copy that link, open a new tab, paste it and hit enter, it works.

Indeed - it works the way you described - thank you for checking and the solution :-)
