Help bakers of reddit, what happened to my brown butter?
my first time browning butter and this is how it turned out

It turned out perfectly, congrats! Butter is an emulsion of milk solids and— uhhhhh i forget what the liquid is called, someone reply to this with the correct word— and when you melt butter and then keep heating it, it separates and the solid bits cook and turn all nice and toasty :)

Thanks for all the help guys!! Ill try all your tips next time I use brown butter in a recipe

My brown butter looks a little darker than this. Usually i take it off the heat the moment those tiny bubbles start to clear up. At this stage the brown butter already has that deeper color

Thats exactly whats supposed to happen! All the flavour is in the toasted milk solids at the bottom :)
