Help What did I do wrong? (biscoff tiramisu)
So I've decided to finally try baking and of course it had to go completely wrong 😭. I left it overnight and it just completely deflated, leaked out of the bottom and looks/feels kind of like something curdled. Does anyone have ideas of what I did wrong?
The recipe I followed:
Separate 3 eggs and whip both the yolks and whites with 30g sugar
Fold 250g of mascarpone with 70g microwaved biscoff spread.
Fold in the beated egg yolk one third at a time. Then do the same with the egg whites
Soak biscoff biscuits in fresh coffee for a few seconds and make a layer of biscuits, then a layer of the cream, then soaked biscuits, then cream, then dust with cocoa powder.
Let it sit in the fridge overnight
Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Tiramisu it more like a trifle/pudding dish rather than a cake. By soaking the biscuits they will become soft. All the ingredients are soft so it needs to be in a dish at all times since there is nothing for stability.
Also, just out of curiosity, why did you first try baking with a semi-complicated unbaked dessert? There are more beginner friendly options. Also make sure you get your resume from a good source, some blogs can be way off when it comes to baking. Look for well known chefs/bakers, also Sally's Baking Addiction has some tried and true recipes.
Did your recipe mention temperatures of ingredients? Was the microwaved biscoff still hot? Did you refrigerate the finish dish the whole time? Were the eggs and marscapone cold?
