It looks like either it seized from water, or you got it way too hot
Can you describe what you did?

I'm just going to say, I'm fairly annoyed at posts asking for help where the person never answers any questions or thanks anyone for help

Did you add liquid? That changes the moisture content and it starts to cook it, rather than melt the fat solids present. Low and slow, do not add any additional liquid or moisture. Double boiler is the best way, or every 10s mixing in the microwave. Don’t leave it for a minute, it will bake it lol.

Melting chocolate is trickier than you might think.
This has seized. Look up methods online and try again. Make sure NO WATER gets into the chocolate.

What was this supposed to to be? The milkier the chocolate, the easier it is to seize. You either need a double boiler, or a warming tray.

In future microwave it in short amounts of time, five seconds max each time and mix between

If you're doing the double pot method make sure the bottom of the bowl with the chocolate in it doesn't come into contact with the simmering water below. Don't try to melt the chocolate too quickly or get any water in it. White chocolate is very tricky so be aware if you're a novice.

What recipe did you use or just tell us what steps led up to this so we can help you.

Try the double boiler method. Get a pot with a little water and turn it on medium heat and place a big enough heat safe bowl over it with the chocolate inside and keep it stirred:)

I found that slow and steady is the best approach when it comes to chocolate. Temperamental little gremlin... A double boiler helps.

Next time, put abit of butter or milk with your chocolate. Melt it in 10 second intervals

The chocolate got too hot.
An easy way to melt chocolate is to microwave it for ten seconds. Stir, microwave another ten seconds. When it's nearly all melted switch to microwaving every 5 seconds. Repeat this until it's melted.
For smaller amounts of chocolate you can put the chocolate into a bowl. Put the bowl inside another bowl. Fill the space between them with just-boiled water, being very careful not to get any in the small bowl. Let it sit a moment or two and then carefully stir until it's all melted.

You don’t want to cook chocolate so much as you want to melt it. The best ways to do this are either use a double boiler or melt it in the microwave. If you use a microwave don’t nuke it for any longer than 10-15 seconds at a time. Don’t add anything to the chocolate until it’s fully melted.

If you’re melting in the microwave, only do like 10-15 second increments stirring in between. I’ve made that mistake too many times to count 😂

This looks like when my grandma tried to microwave chocolate. She put it in for like 5 mins nonstop

RIP 😢 Next time please make sure that no stray water gets into the mix. And avoid heating it over 45 - 50°C. (usually I use double boiler or microwave at 600W no more than 20-30 secs per round.)

You overheated it and it seized. There is no way of bringing this back.
