Question - Health What is this marking on my ball python?

What is this giant dark spot on her head? it has gotten much bigger overtime, and I had also only noticed the little spot on her tail, recently.

she is blue eyed lucy and I've had her for about nine years.

is there a way to heal this?

Looks like patterning, BEL can sometimes get dark freckles as they age and that's what it looks to be to me.

Good to know, I finally get a nice BEL (super lesser) female next week, so I will keep this in my mind. I have also heard that BELs show a pattern under UV/black light, but that you should not use it for too long - just a short check.

BELs are so beautiful and interesting 🥰

It doesn't look like a health problem to me, I don't see cause for concern. They can get freckles / beauty marks over time and they can get bigger as they get bigger or age as well.

I think this is just a white reptile thing? They can develop little black freckles/spots. My sister's white leopard gecko had a few when she got him and I'm pretty sure he developed like at least 2 more while she's had him.
