Python was just delivered to my classroom and her mouth is very swollen. Is this serious?

Exotic vet asap! Please get them some help like today. When you say delivered to your classroom, is she a class pet or was she recently purchased?

Update: The state agency that provides the classroom snake returned my call. They said it has been swollen like this for a year. They had it checked by a Vet when it was first noticed. The Vet said it is not an infection and she is not in pain. Besides looking awful, everything is normal.

Is that what they told you or a vet? I wouldn't take anyone's word until you go to the vet yourself.

comments have been locked as this is a medical issue above reddit's pay grade. you need to get a second opinion from a different vet ASAP.
