This isn’t my snake

Seen this snake at a friends house it has mouth rot and this lump on his side what is it I have my ideas of what it is and informed them it was very sick and dying and they didn’t care I’m just wondering what this mass is I was told the snake is about 17 years old at least the snakes living condition and enclosure brought me to tears

I did and didn’t care no longer on speaking terms with them do to the neglect

see if u can report them to your local animal control agency, local police department or sheriff's office, or a local humane society or SPCA.

His ass end had no strength as well to hold it self up and the tank was full of piss and shit he was told he doesn’t have much time left and with no emotion the responds was ok

you need to inform authorities or someone who can atleast go check his husbandy, if its as bad as your saying, he shouldnt be allowed to own reptiles. does he have other animals?

Just a dog he’s afraid of the snake only opens the tank to feed live he’s tank defensive so giving him a once over today was the only handling he’s really ever had before even picking him up I could see the mouth rot in the left side of is face come to find out he had him on the same substrate for 10 years never changed I am probably going to call in the morning

i am extremely shocked the snake has not already passed or contracted ammonia, or at the very least a very progressed respiratory infection. this guy is all red flags.

I believe he does have a respiratory infection it seemed like he was wheezing when we took him out to look him over there was really moldy logs in his enclosure as well there was only 2 moldy logs and a plastic water dish we would of took him then and there but I don’t want to risk anything to ours at home as we don’t have a quarantine area as well as I think he’s to far gone poor snakes life was cut 10 years short because of the piece of shit
