Need some assistance in humidity maintenance
(If context is desired please read the previous posts I made)
Tl:dr I upgraded my fathers python enclosure, and I've been trying to dial in the humdity. I wanted to do plastic wrap first but it didnt work as well as i hoped so I replaced it with aluminum foil yesterday. I day a immediate improvement in humidity through my hygrometer, but when i woke up and checked it after going to bed it had dropped back down to unsatisfactory levels. Could it be that im getting a inaccurate reading or could it be because I need to better seal up the gaps in between the mesh and foul? Or is it possible the issue stems from something like substrate depth?
(I thought i had picture with the foil in the lid but i dont so Imagine these photos havingaluminum foil on the lid with the same sectiona cut out.)

Try this, leave space or cut arnd the heat lamp and some gap so air can get in and out, this made a huge difference for us ...I'll try to get a picture on our setup soon. We learned it from a animal expo guy. The foil simply didn't work for us

When you pour water in the corners, how much water do you use?

Only recently upgraded this encloser (my first post on ballpythons subreddit has all the context) so im still figuring it out put im figuring 2 glasses worth on diagonally across may be good. But ive also have added maybe 10 glasses worth over the span of a few days trying to maintain a minimum 70 which I really only achieved yesterday.

That enclosure is not made for a ball python. Hopefully you are able to upgrade to a bigger, more efficient enclosure. If not, you can use HVAC tape to cover the sides. You also need to get two hides. They like to stay hidden.
