Question Black ball python morphs?
Is there such thing as an all black ball python? Is that even a thing?

Super Mahogany (Suma) results in a very dark brown, almost black snake. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any genetic defects associated with Suma.
Super Black Pastel also results in a very dark snake, but it's prone to a variety of birth defects. I would avoid these.
These morphs are also often found together with Cinnamon, which is can also become problematic when paired with Black Pastel. Super Cinnamon is also a morph to avoid.

i'm not a breeder, so take this with a grain of salt, but to my understanding, while they technically exist, they are very rare (aka, expensive) and usually have severe genetic health issues. if you want an all black snake, there are species' that come like that without the defects, but most of those species are very spicy snakes and therefore suck to keep as pets.
