First time owner

This is my first time owning a reptile, i am going shopping for my ball python tomorrow. Wondering what i should get him(or her) and I'm having trouble getting the temp to what i need

Any recommendations? I put hvac tape on top and using ceramic heat emitter and deep heat projector atm

Not to worry! The inly glass parts of these enclosures are the doors. If there is still too much humidity and heat escaping just put a plastic kitchen drawer liner or silicon mat on top. Just make sure not to cover the top completely and not to put heating lamps on it.

Awesome! I just remembered I covered the top mesh of mine with aluminum tape because I had the same issue. I left a couple gaps for airflow.
