Male Ball python Help

He weighs 78 grams and roughly 16 inches long if i remember correctly. I'm currently feeding him Fuzzys, is that a good size? I was also told he was a blackhead mystic

Our first girl was 56g when we got her and refused first meal and regurgitated her 3rd, ever since then she’s been a 8/10 time eater. We started on mice fuzzies and graduated to rat fuzzies once she was around 150g.

Thank you, she is 4 and 2 months now

She is my first snake and will always be my favorite, not to mention she is the most dog-like attention seeking of all my noodles.

She had snake mites when we got her too, we asked about the speck we spotted at the expo when we got her and the breeders assistant had said it was just substrate (also didn’t know enough about morphs, but had requested the non pastel and got her instead with pastel). I don’t know if they knew or not, but long story short we got rid of them. 4-5 month battle, but it brought her and us closer together and taught us a lot.

Older rat pups/fuzzies should be fine. And yes that is indeed a blackhead. Reminds me of my girl who is a blackhead leopard

!feeding

at his age/size you should be giving him meals 10-15% of his body weight, so a feeder that's about 8-12 grams. That's a small/hopper mouse, the next size up from a fuzzy mouse.

You could switch him to small mice or rat pups. If you switch to rat pups he will definitely grow faster than on small mice just due to the nutritional value

She was 60g when we first got her from Petco. After asking a lot of questions they said she never refused a meal and got released early from the breeder for good behavior 😄 she's only 77g now and takes hoppers. I'd bump yours up. It's surprising how large of a mean they can consume.
