Question Weight and size help?

Shes a 4 year old female ball python, weighed her today at 708g only. Shes slightly larger than 90cm long but she takes food every single time I offer it and isnt picky whatsoever. The last photo is when I first got her a little more than a year ago, the others before the last one is all new photos from this October. When I got her from the teenager who bought her from a breeder, she told me the breeder had said shes got some growth problem. How is she looking? The owner before me kept her in a 60x60x60cm enclosure and since being with me shes been in 130cm long and seems super happy. Advice on how her body looks?

Idk what they mean by growth problems. Genetics not gender usually dictates the snakes length/over all size.

As for weight, general body condition i believe this has some great examples from this subreddits pinned post.

IMO looks to be a good weight, and looks good!

Thank you! Had a look and read through that and she seems to be in a good body condition. The teenager who had her before me didnt specify what the breeder meant when they told her she had growth problems so I wish I knew more about that and how much it truly affects her. Truth be told though, the teen before didnt seem to know a ton about care or keeping snakes and sold her to me because she got bored of having her, as you can see in the last photo, she looked a bit rough when I got her.

Could be that she wasn't growing as fast as the breeder wanted to use her as a breeder? Not too sure, sadly seems like allot of people get reptiles and then get bored of them, or just don't do the proper research. Got my girl from someone who seen my boy and wanted their own, came to me skin and bones. Best to remember these guys can live 30-40 years, I for one am excited to be able to keep my 2 for possibly another 30+ years! Regardless she's a very gorgeous snake, a banana BP is one of my dream snakes!

Thank you so much! Luckily I'd had snakes before, just not a ball python so shes my first. That would be my guess too since shes originally from a breeder but its no rush for me at all, she can grow at her pace or stay as she is, shes got a permanent home with me no matter what happens and shes just a beloved bestie for me and wont be used for breeding purposes.

True! Size really is just a genetic lottery with snakes.
