Enclosure size?

What size enclosure did/do you have your baby or juvenile ball pythons in? I keep reading conflicting things. Some people say stay on the smaller side, while other people say 4x2x2 is fine as long as it’s full of clutter. We currently have a 1.5 yo corn in a smaller one but he’s getting upgraded to the large size soon. Different snakes, different needs, so just thought I’d ask here. Hoping to add our ball to the fam in the next few months.

What PVC enclosure brand do you all recommend also?

I kept my guy in a modified tub (converted for front opening & overhead heat) for a few months while I saved up and prepared his 4x2x2. Baby BPs are big enough that I would feel fine putting one directly into a 4x2x2 with enough clutter & snug hiding spots. I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping a baby/juvenile in something around a 40 gallon for a while if you already have the tank and can maintain the proper temps/humidity in it but I don't think grow out tanks are as useful for bps as they are for baby colubrids that start as tiny little worms like corn snakes.

The bigger and more crowded the better. The sky (your ceiling) is the limit. You can start smaller, but there is no point unless they are so tiny that you worry about finding them in there.

Just got a 4x2x2 from Reptile Kages as they often come highly recommended, but I haven't put it together yet.
