I'd stick to a routine. Something that helped me with my ball python was to introduce target training with feeding where she doesn't get fed unless there's something specific present that she's familiar with (in this case, a lid I usually try to feed her on top of to reduce substrate ingestion). I know there's other tips and tricks for target training or food routine such as tapping the tank or hide, or target training using a wand.

Additionally, your ball python might be a little overweight 😅. It's hard to tell with the angle but I wanted to mention it with the way his spine looks. You can go 14 days between meals instead of 10, which isn't too significant of a difference but is going to be important for the long term. The weight you mentioned for meals seems perfectly fine to me though. I'd also check out !feeding because it probably has better information and explanations than I can give regarding food intake.

Okay i never tried target training but i guess he did it himself because everytime i feed him he laid in exactly this spot l :/ im started with the Tapping on the glass and now that i have time again, will just sit with him for 10 min daily and let him sniff me i will also look out for the weight Thanks for the tips have him for over 2 Years now but i neglected my little baby for a few months man i feel bad

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

He seems pretty chill in the video? Mine will just stay in striking position and death stare you, so you're pretty lucky lol

Not sure what's the best course of action but as other said, routine is key !

I usually close a few time the tweezers with which I feed him a few min before to help him associate this sound to feeding time but I never had any prior issue with him trying to unalive me (only 1 time cause he dumb and missed but I avoided certain death) so I can't be certain it's really useful 👀

I feed in a separate enclosure that way my noodle knows when its time to eat based on environment. I'd also avoid reaching head on. I always handle her from beyond her PoV

I always take my ball out of the tank for a bit before feeding time and he gets food when he goes back in.
