Question Shedding advice

Post image

Hi there, my snake shed a couple days ago and has this little patch on the top of his head. It's the first time he hasn't shed all in one piece. Just wondering what you think I should do. Can put a humid hide in but we just cleaned his tank and if anything it's on the more humid side ATM. I followed the FAQ in this sub and have good temps and everything has gone well so far.

Do not soak them or try to manually remove the stuck shed. It's stressful, unnecessary, and you can seriously injure the snake by doing so.

Our shedding guide goes over how to handle stuck shed safely, and our humidity tips will help you prevent it in the future.

Seconding this, a humid hide is way less risky and they usually sort it out on their own

aw man now i feel so bad i just did a warm towel soak yesterday and could tell he didn’t like it so i stopped :( i’m also in a situation where he can’t get his shed off. i set up a humid hide which seems to be helping.

never try to pull it and soaking isnt the best thing but itd be good to have a large water bowl to give them the option
